"Filthy mattress & sheets. They didn't even bother to clean the room and change the sheets/pillow cases. Everything smelled really bad with lots of stains. I had to ask them to change the sheets. When they changed the sheets, I saw the mattress is filthy & with lot of stains as well. Bathroom was equally filthy - with cockroaches and leaky taps. Lot of red paint over the mirror in the bathroom. Service guys struggled to turn on the AC after which it did turn on but I could not change the...

"We stayed here for a night and a day. The staff is very friendly and when possible they extend above and beyond for making sure the guests have a great stay. I am saying this as everyone across the hotel served with a smile and made sure of guests convenience. I will recommend this place for family and everyone else alike. The breakfast was amazing and they were kind enough to service requests for our baby. Thank you Marriott Chennai. Special thanks to Chayanika, Malavika/Tamana and support staff at the entrance. This place also has nice collection of handcrafted bags do check it out. "

"I have stayed in all five stars in Chennai many times and Hyatt always best for comfort, staff attention and service. Special thanks to reception staff for excellent check in and ensuring quiet room as requested. Perfect sleep and great breakfast and also enjoyed spa and pool. Just wish they didn’t blare pop music in garden at breakfast time. Lotus pond is special area and gentle traditional Indian music would be more in keeping in morning, Bring earplugs to breakfast if you don’t want loud pop music at 8am! That aside I highly recommend this hotel over both the Leela Palace and ITC Chola. "
