"The check in process was quick and pleasant. The rooms were very clean and we loved how they incorporated the original building into the new Inn. Loved being right on the bay. Great views! Dinner at the cafe next door was also very good. Loved the friendly feeling there. Parking was a little tight but able to park."

"It was just for one night to rest before traveling home the next after visiting family on Saturday. Very comfortable room with a microwave and refrigerator. I have stayed there before and would most definitely stay again."

"This was one of the nicest places I have ever stayed in. I would give it a 10 if possible. The owners made you feel welcome and were very accommodating. Room and property was better than advertised! Its remote location along with a lake front on property was awesome. The fact that they had kayaks/canoes for guests to use was such a pleasant surprise. I loved just sitting in the hammock by the lake and watching the birds. My son loved kayaking on the lake. I loved not having to unload my kayak. I wish I booked a longer stay here. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a break from our busy lives. "

From the cozy cottage to our amazing host Wanda, the whole experience left us wanting more.The cottage was perfect, the salty air along the shoreline made for the best mornings meditation, and the open layout plus all that natural sunlight made the space feel warm and welcoming all day long.There’s plenty to do nearby, from local spots to explore to great food that will definitely satisfy your taste buds. Our little one didn’t want to leave, and even my wife agreed, and that was after a late check-out!All I can say is, this place truly deserves the name! If you’re thinking about booking it…do it. You won’t regret it!"

"We stayed at this location myself , my daughter, my best friend and her daughter and her husband. We all fit nicely in the home. The property was great. Very clean. Check in was easy and they communicated via text which made it SO easy. Everything was as expected and listed. We would absolutely stay here again when we return. The text about local places, hikes and stores etc was So helpful and such a nice touch they add to this experience. We took morning walks around the area with the kids and they loved it. Had a fire in the evenings and did smores. There is a charcoal grill in the property. I didn’t see that in the listing but it was there when we arrived, just needed charcoal! We spent two days in Acadia and hit some seal watching at Bar Harbor Whale Watch company. The only thing I would add is that during the time we went August 7-10, the majority of the time we were at the cabin (morning and evening) the tide was so low that the view right in front of the cabin was just mud but this is just the nature of tides and seasons! Not something we felt was negative by any means as the other side of the road there was beautiful views and water. Can’t recommend this place enough! "

Highly recommended if you want simple, rustic lodging with comfortable accommodations (nice bed, everything needed for a compact kitchen to prepare meals, and nice picnic table for eating outdoors). "
