In the comfort and peace of this hut in this location, I was able to write nearly 10,000 words, unheard of in my everyday busy life at home! "Whilst the ManorHouse would sleep the number advertised, and certainly has enough crockery and cooking equipment to manage comfortably, we found the whole place to be cramped. Most bedrooms had one or more bed than was comfortable, there actually isn’t enough sofa space for everyone, and the dining table is difficult to use due to being so close to the wall, with no space to move it out. The kitchen, while well equipped, has very little work space and is not able to cope with more tham2 or 3...

The Fleece

8/10 Good

"The Fleece is in a great position, right on the Church Green. Perfect for where we needed to be. Our room (room 2) was upstairs in building across from the back of the pub. Large room with a very comfy bed and pillows. Uncomfortably hot as we stayed during a very hot week. Fan provided but only pushed warm air around the room and the window was very small so not much air coming in. Bedroom and bathroom were a bit tired. Window blind hanging off and toilet seat barely attached but we did inform the duty staff member when we left as it wasn't the end of the world while we were staying. Nice staff and good evening meal. Didn't have breakfast but enjoyed sitting outside the front of the pub with cold drinks. Despite a few downsides we would definitely consider staying again"

The Swan Inn

10/10 Excellent

"Second visit to the Swan with our dogs. The staff are very friendly, helpful and the dog friendly policy made travelling with two big dogs much easier. We ate in the restaurant: swordfish with ratatouille and a lovely freshly baked pizza… all great! A perfect stopping place in a picturesque village in the Cotswolds when we’re on our way home to Sussex."

"We had a wonderful one night stay. The pub serves a huge variety of drinks. We didn’t eat here but the food looked good. I couldn’t fault the staff who were friendly and attentive at all times. Our room was large and very bright and welcoming. The bed was super comfy and everything was exceptionally clean and well maintained. There is no breakfast served but they have very thoughtfully put out a good tea and coffee selection and breakfast bars to tide you over until you can get some breakfast. There is a cafe very nearby that was recommended to us. The only niggle (and I’ve had to really think hard to find fault here) It would be great to know which coffee pod is regular and which one is decaf. They were not labelled and Google didn’t help much either. Literally only negative I could find it didn’t impact our trip at all. I would absolutely stay again and have already recommended it to my friend for when she visits the area."
