Great experience

Really enjoy the stay at this hotel. The convenience to downtown Birmingham, all restaurants and shopping was great. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay again on my next trip.

The parking is very limited, but it worked out ok. It would be helpful for the desk staff to tell us our parking options st check in. We had a wonderful stay, with ouf concert venue and many good restaurants nearby.

The breakfast and breakfast staff were very accommodating and happy! The lighting on the bathroom mirror wasn’t working and the loud traffic that occurred in the late evenings wasn’t pleasant.

An urban hotel with a small town feel. Easily located hotel right off of Woodward Avenue and within walking distance of shopping and restaurants. A short car ride from the trendy towns of Ferndale and Royal Oak. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous and made me feel welcome as soon as I walked in the door. This will be my place to stay when I am in the Detroit area.

Overall good experience. The lobby is under construction but everything else was done. First impression walking in was a bit odd but you don’t go to a hotel for the lobby, you go for the rooms and those were nice.

Don’t stay at the Holiday Inn Express on Woodward

Customer and security is a complete disaster at this location. Heating unit malfunctioned and although we were provided another room we came back later in the evening and found our room door wide open. We had to leave and go to another hotel
