I arrived in town for a Lions game with my nephew. The property was NOT a disappointment! It was just as presented on line and more. The location was the icing on top. Close to all the all the stadiums and an easy walk. The property was clean and well stocked for all of our needs. I will rebook again when I come back to town!

We were in town for the Lions playoff Victory, first in 32 years so the icing on that cake was the house/apartment. It was perfect!! All the amenities you could ask for!! Great location to the stadium and other places to eat, we will definitely be back! Great stay just like the images...

The Condo was immaculate!. It was a perfect location to walk to all of the arenas. I felt very safe in the area. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked. I especially loved the Cappuccino maker! Can't wait to book our next visit.

We traveled to Detroit to see the Black Crowes show at the Fillmore and spend a weekend together with family. Our stay at the Lumber Baron's Mansion was phenomenal. The location is excellent for any/all downtown activities and there's plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance. Our host was extremely responsive and provided very clear communication. The interior was beautiful and well equipped. Highly recommended, will stay here again!

The mansion was gorgeous, clean and secure. We walked to several museums and restaurants and felt safe. The unit also had great coffee, games, cards and large screen TVs. Everything we needed for a fun time.

This place is great. The location is amazing for sporting events or concerts in Detroit. My wife loved the decor, and we all loved the view of the city from the living room. Everything was clean. The beds were comfortable. The espresso machine made excellent coffee.

The location was perfect for us as we were going to a sports game so it was walkable. The neighborhood was nice with coffee and other amenities close by. The condo was so comfortable and also beautiful. It worked so well for our family and we enjoyed it very much. I would highly recommend this stay and we would definitely go back again!

My wife and young boys stayed at the Lumber Barons Townhouse for the New Year's weekend, and it did NOT disappoint! The location was a half a block from Little Caesar's Arena. The photos do not due the property justice...it is much more impressive. 2.5 baths, washer/dryer, 4 flat screen TVs, Viking appliances and LIVE plants. We would definitely stay here again!

This place is absolutely beautiful! We came in town for the Queen Concert at Little Caesars Arena and what a PERFECT location to be in. A super easy walk to the venue and restaurants. The accommodations where 1st class. Beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked with Viking appliances and the place is spotless! I only wish we stayed longer! Next time! My colleagues and I stayed here for meetings at Wayne State University. Back when I was in school (over 25 years ago) I used to see these mansions crumbling over time and neglect and wonder what they looked like in their prime. I was thrilled to be able to stay in this beautifully restored mansion. The accommodations had every amenity. The beds were very comfortable and linens clean and crisp. The kitchen has high end appliances and everything you need. Thank you for letting us stay! We will return!

Wow. I can't say enough good things about the Lumber Baron's Penthouse in Detroit. Not a thing deserves less than 5 stars on this GEM. We brought my daughter and her friend for a concert at Little Caesar's Arena. OMG it was within EASY walking distance! The home was absolutely modern; beautifully and impeccably appointed - perfectly clean upon arrival. There was an amazing view of the Detroit skyline which was just lovely, especially at sunset. We all were able to have our own rooms and the beds were ultra comfy. All of us wished we could have stayed longer. It was a perfectly located, beautiful home, and included the garage!!!! If you are considering this home for your VRBO in Detroit, do it. You will not be disappointed. Note: If you cannot do more than one flight of stairs, it might not be the place for you. I'm not a stairs-lover myself, but it was absolutely worth the two flights to the Penthouse! And I would do it again!
