Good place for the price
The hotel is located in between Gulshan and banani. It's by the bridge that connects the two neighborhoods, so moving to either is easy. It's an apartment building converted to a hotel, so the layout is very much like an apartment. Pros. Full time standby generator that also covers airconditioning. A big plus when during high summer /power cut season. Reception staff is good. Late check in at the middle of the night went smoothly. (I did book the night before arrival) Housekeeping is restricted. They don't enter the room on their own. You have to leave your keys with the reception, only then they'll come in for housekeeping. Hot water supply was working and adequate for showers any time of day or night. Cons. Restaurant serves local dishes only. The Chinese cuisine is also a local version. Breakfast is light, local dishes only, such parata, eggs, curries. There's a small selection of white bread with butter, jam. The bathrooms and bedrooms are old style but they serve their purpose. Over all, I'll come back to this place if my budget is the same.

Be aware!!! The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. It was dirty, thousands of mosquitoes in the room. The shower is dirty and rusty. very small and congested room. Couldn't sleep due to mosquitos had to inform staff at 3 am and needed to step out so they can spray room. The staff held us hostage in the room to give them good reviews before our checkout. They are bunch of crooks. Do NOT stay in this hotel! I hope the staff reads my reviews and never force anyone to give reviews!

This hotel is very terrible. I have booked the balcony room for two nights. I have arrival quite late that's why they thought I might not coming. They sold my room to another customer. Then they lie to me they upgrade better room for me. However, it is super terrible. no hot water, still have rubbish didn't clean and left from last customers. The next day, they have changed to another room for me, but still don't have hot water. Lie, lie, lie. Never ever back again. Strongly don't booked this hotel. Lie person.

Customer service was excellent. Everyone of them had a smile on their faces and were willing to help. I stayed with my family here and we enjoyed our stay. The short stay was wonderful, especially due to the staff. Their customer service and attitude was 10/10. The room that we stayed in however does need some renovation. It was clean though. Nonetheless, it’s an excellent location, and given the price point, it was good.

The Bonds in Dhaka
Location is hard to beat. It's close to restaurants and shopping. We've stayed here twice. The service is outstanding. We had a lot of mosquitos in our room, which was the only downside to the room (405). We didn't have the same issues in room 403.

It's a good hotel, clean, quiet. Some issues need to add like providing a coffee maker with some tea, coffee bags. They have some snacks but surely it's payable. I'm sure why they overcharge on minibar items, they are not adding any value on that. One thing I like as they provide cotton bud which is useful. Bathroom fittings are old, wastewater all the time, I don't like it.

Smoke smell in the room. Asked the room attendant to provide air freshener to eliminate this odour but did nothing. Food quality was bad as well. Poor taste.

Good budget hotel with excellent service
Service at this hotel is excellent! Shohel, Arif, Manik, Asad, Badsha, and crew made me feel very welcome and comfortable. The hotel is centrally located with shops and restaurants within a 10 min walk. Being next to a lake (which is quite pretty), this hotel has a major mosquito problem. The hotel staff did all they could to help me, but I woke up every morning with bites marks on my body. Hopefully the local authorities will address this problem in the future.

The location was ideal: in the centre of Gulshan, looking out over trees (with green parrots) and Banani Lake, relatively quiet. The room was comfortable, simple and functional. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. The restaurant was fine but sadly under-used - and I hope they will now add 'lebu/nimbu pani (lemon water)' to their official menu.

Wonderful budget option in Gulshan.
I stayed at HTD for a week and loved it there. All the staff are smiling and friendly, they all speak excellent english and are always on hand to help with anything. The wifi works great as does the hot water (run it for a few minutes). Good selection of tv channels, small minibar and daily papers. Breakfast is basic but sufficient. The hotel is centrally located in Gulshan with everything nearby. I had no issues staying there as a solo western female and wouldnt hesitate to stay again.

Great option in Gulshan
HTD is a great budget option in Gulshan. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive and the hotel is clean with good amenities. The WiFi worked well most of the time and there is hot water (run it for a few minutes first). The locality is good for restaurants, shops and banks. Would stay again

Nice place to stay for the money. Best quality/price room around. Wifi is not the best, but it works. Good breakfast buffet.
