We very much liked this friendly local hotel. It has a nice quiet location a few minutes walk south-west of Thamel and nearer to Kathmandu Durbar Square (a 10 min walk). Beautiful hotel, really friendly staff, spacious room. The dining options were excellent. A taxi into town is relatively inexpensive, and reception will arrange for you.

The room was exceptional and a very comfortable bed. The food in the main restaurant , beside the lobby was fantastic and the staff were very helpful and attentive. Would stay at the Marriott in Kathmandu again in a heartbeat but definitely longer next time.
