"Disappointed but then happy(ish). Started in basement room but upgraded due to issues. Tiny basement room with an unforgiving metal bed frame that you bang into coming in/out of bathroom I have bruised legs after just one night. Basement feels forgotten about, broken coffee machine & hairdryer, missing wall decorations, mouldy bathroom, big gap behind bed so pillows fall behind bed, mattress sunken. Not enough sound proofing from upstairs, as deep sleepers we were kept awake by the reception area traffic in the night & AM. Glass door smashed upstairs at 2am'ish. This awoke us with panic and then the sound of cleaning for over an hour was horrible even after we went upstairs to find out. No apologies for any of the problems. We had to pay to upgrade to get away from the problems. The upgraded room was lovely, clean and comfortable, we stayed in the upgraded room for 2 nights and enjoyed it! Staff are super lovely, especially the British lady who checked us in and out. We loved the little treat when leaving, nice touch! We left happy, maybe we shouldn't have paid for upgrade due to the problems but the lady didn't have powers to change this, that's the only oversight apart from the basement room poor quality in contrast to the lovely standard double wet moved into. "

"The room was clean on arrival. However, the room was not cleaned for 5 days I was there. There was some coffe pods on the first day, then no replacements. I did ask for more coffee, milk and sugar. They gave 3 coffee, no milk or sugar. Breakfast was okay, however the hot options were scrambled eggs and bacon. 2 days they did put on chicken sausages and beans. There were other continental options. The evening menu was the same for every night. Except Sunday when it was closed. Would not stay here again. To far out from everywhere. "

"Great room, excellent location. However there are other events ongoing at the hotel, this time a Lego play event for kids that will cause a long line for the reception area. We really liked the more luxurious rooms on the 6th floor as they have more firm mattresses and a better set up as the standard rooms. We will be back, still the best place to stay in Ede."

"We stayed here also a year ago and the hotel has definitely taken a turn for the worse. They have removed the front desk and replaced it with self check in iPads. Whoever thought of this should be fired immediately: a hotel relies on its personal touch and human interaction. I’m young and able, but no guest arriving after a long journey wants to fill out info on an iPad! Everything about our stay felt cheap. The hallway to our room was freezing. The duvets are so thin that we called (from our cell phone because there’s no phone in the room) for a second duvet, the floor in the bathroom is unheated and freezing, and I could go on. Our son with baby had a second room and they informed us in advance that they charge extra for a baby cot (unacceptable). There’s a coffee station in the lobby and it says with big letters that if you’re a guest staying in the hotel, you’re not allowed to use this coffee station (also unacceptable). It’s Christmas but not a festive chocolate in sight (I could swear there were chocolates last year at the front desk!). No welcome note or welcome gift in the room. Everything about our stay said that this hotel is past its prime and won’t survive. Our stay was just mediocre at best. One positive: the gin and tonic with berries in the bar is fabulous and the bartender was great (tip for the hotel: keep him). "
