Montana Adventure

We are located in one of the best hunting and fishing areas of Montana with thousands of BLM acres just across the street and within 6 miles of one of the best trout fly fishing streams. Some of the other interesting things are, the historic Lewis and Clark trail as well as being near the Continental Divide trail. Our area has lots of outdoor activities available from the novice to the expert and the leisurely sight seer to the enthusiastic sight seer. There is much available to do in and around our area.

Owned by Cyrus Skinner, a known outlaw and suspected gang member of the Innocents Gang, the saloon quickly became one of the wildest places in town. During its heydays, there were a number of shootouts in the saloon, including one where a bullet went astray, punched through the wall, and killed a woman across the street. On another occasion, two gamblers in a dispute, drew their guns and blasted rounds at each other. Though neither gambler was killed, a bullet killed a drunk man who was passed out on the floor.

The property was absolutely great. The inside was immaculate, the grounds tree lined and beautiful, and the huge deck gave us a secluded place to visit and enjoy the area .

There is NO AC it was 93 in the house and 83 outside it was very hot inside. There was NO cellular service NO internet which wouldn’t have been a problem if they would’ve had a landline for us to use, but there wasn’t one of those either. I do have to say they have a very beautiful place. It was very clean.

CMMX race weekend

We love to fish and hunt. Amazing place that offers all of that. Unfortunately we were on the motorcross track all weekend. Very comfortable place to relax after a long day at the track.

Off the Grid!

Everything was great except for no WiFi or cell service. We have spouses and children who need to be able to reach us. And weather and flights we couldn’t check. Also 5,000 deposit or forced 149 insurance was ridiculous for a place with nothing of value to be damaged. Very hard to plan excursions, connect with friends or make dinner plans when you have to drive to the main road for cell service but only if you have AT&T. Verizon and Sprint didn’t work. No TVs here either. No weather or news.

Family friendly stay in a gorgeous setting.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this peaceful and relaxing retreat. Coffee on the porch was my favorite. The views are amazing…loved the quiet mornings. The kids loved running around on the expansive lawn.

Very nice, extremely clean, safe, and quiet house. Beds were very comfortable. Jill was very nice to work with. Plan on bringing ziplocks, Saran Wrap, bowls with lids, condiments, etc if you need that kind of stuff. Exactly what she says on the listing is exactly what is available. It is a very beautiful area close to the reservoir. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area. Directions from Jill made getting to the house easy. We weren’t there much except to sleep so no pictures of the house to post.

Very nice stay

It was plenty of space with 2 other friends in a great country environment. It is a great location for our fishing adventures on the Beaverhead river and not to far to Dillon for provisions. Jill was very accommodating and will definitely stay here again
