Cowlitz River Lodge

"We had a great stay here. The room was very big and clean, and the staff were very friendly. They had a room next to the lobby with coffee and popcorn that was free to the guests and had live music when we were there. They also had an assortment of different games in the lobby that we didn't get to try out. The location was also very nice since it was right across the street from the grocery store, and the street had many dining options and a gift shop."

"We stayed one night. Exhausted from the mountain climbing, we were happy to find fridge and microwave in the room so that we could keep our food for the next day in cold and warm up a fast dinner without going out. But there were quite a few restaurants nearby in walking distance, so it can be convenient if anyone want to have formal meal. The night is extremely quiet and I love to see all green trees outside the window. The lodge are all hardwood floored. So, if someone check into the room late, you will hear the steps because there is no elevator. But, it seems the clients all act fast, at least during the night we stayed."

"Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. The house is within walking distance of downtown, making it easy to go shopping or visit nearby restaurants. The house also provides lots of board games and a ping-pong table, which our kids really enjoyed. The check-in and check-out instructions were very clear and easy to follow. The beds were comfortable, and we had a great time staying here. We would definitely recommend this place!"

"Beautiful view of Mt. Ranier. Very few towels or washcloths, but host provided once requested more than 4 for 4 adults for 4 days. Close to Packwood for food and had wonderful excursion to Mt. St. Helens. Mt. Ranier was crowded as expected, Cabin conveniently located to both. Enjoyed the peace and quiet."

"I stayed with my niece and son at this lovely cabin in Packwood. The location was great for exploring Mt. Rainier National Park. It was also only a few minutes walk to Cruiser's Pizza, Packwood Brewing Co. & Mountain Goat Coffee (the best places to eat in town!) The house was well-stocked with everything we needed including freebies like toothbrushes, makeup removing wipes and a lip mask! There was also ice available in the freezer to freshen up our cooler each morning. There was plenty of space with a surprise trundle (pull out mattress) underneath the bunk beds in the second bedroom. My niece stayed in the main bedroom with the queen bed and said it was very comfortable. It was quiet at night as it's away from any main roads. We also spotted elk around the house both nights we stayed! The house also has a game room with air hockey, ping pong, foosball and darts (plus a popcorn machine with free popcorn for popping provided!) The house was also stocked with a collection of National Park themed games, which we loved. We enjoyed a game of National Parks Monopoly. The shower had great water pressure with plenty of towels. We didn't use it, but there was also a fire pit in the backyard with a nice setup of chairs and pillows to relax. Great place to stay! Highly recommend!"
