Just the ticket
The Hotel is slightly dated. The room itself wasn't warm late at night but I was perfectly warm in bed. But the lovely lady on reception/breakfast duty couldn't do enough for us; she was great. We arrived late and only stayed one night so I'm sure she'd have sorted the heating if we'd have asked. Considering it's great central location, decent price and charming host we'd stay again.

Really lovely hotel in pretty town. Didn't use the restaurant or have breakfast so can't comment on food but restaurant area looked very pleasant. One minor criricism, a bin in the bedroom would have been useful Lift was very much appreciated

Well located but lower standard
Hotel is well located in center of Divonne, not far from Geneva. Parking places are very limited, when we arrived after 9pm none was available and parking on the street was full as well. Room is rather small and doublebed is more 1.5 bed with old matrass with a hole in the middle, rather uncomfortable. Breakfast for 13EUR is poor, ham and sliced cheese, better selection of sweet variant. If you want eggs they will prepare them freshly for you, which is nice. The place is ok for a short term stay but rather lower standard.

Excellent service and good value close to Geneva
Staying in Divonne to avoid Geneva airport on a Saturday prior to skiing as have done many times before. This hotel is central and convenient. Service was excellent. Perfect for good value short stay

Great location. Super friendly staff. They claim to have parking but that was hit or miss. There are a 6-7 spots for 20-something rooms, so there were nights where I got the last spot or no spot.

we are the hotel in the center who has parking place for free the others have no parking place. We might think to ask for a fee for the parking place so that nobody will complain about it.

No facilities for late check-in, our train from Salzburg to Geneva was going to be delayed due to track work which concerned us that connections to trains/buses might mean our arrival in Divonne would be after 10pm; we emailed the hotel to enquire but did not get a reply- luckily we managed to make our connection Zurich to Geneva within 3min of our train arriving & connection departure & reached Divonne before 10pm. Hotel staff spoke limited English but we were able to communicate. We were on 3rd floor & lifts only went to 2nd floor- stairs quite narrow; may be an issue for older travelers having to carry own luggage up 2 flights. No in/room safe; international travelers usually require this. No aircon & fan was noisy. Shower tiles mouldy. Fridge in room was not plugged in. Overall room space was good; beds a bit lumpy & pillows not very comfortable. We only ate breakfast at the hotel the 1st morning- which was ok but bakery next door was better.

In overall , room and bathroom very small .
Very small room , bathroom poorly equiped for a 3 stars hotel. I would rate it 2 stars only. No hot water in the morning . Nobody was at the reception in the morning , we had to leave early.

Nice hotel in attractive town near airport
They spoke no English but we managed. Room was clean and typically small. The only downside was that the Wifi was terrible (barely usable). There is parking, though difficult to maneuver even if you have a small car. The town is just over the border and we entered from Switzerland even though coming from the South of France.

Problème de réservation!!!
Arrivée le soir vers 21h30: bilan ma réservation (confirmée par Hotels.com) n'avait pas été prise en compte par l’hôtel... L’hôtel était complet. J'ai été relogé dans un autre hôtel (à la demande du DIVONA). Le nouvel hôtel était bien moins "sympa" que les photos du DIVONA

Extremely disappointing experience
I have stayed in countless hotels all over the world and this has been one of the worst experiences. This hotel was a huge disappointment in a charming little French town bordering Switzerland. People working at the reception were welcoming and friendly, but, here are the things that annoyed me the most in my 2 night stay: - The room was dirty - There isn't a do not disturb sign so housekeeping was knocking on my door every day around 8AM (I could have slept a couple of hours since my appointments were walking distance and a couple of hundred meters away from the hotel) - The room was too hot for comfort - the plastic fan they had helped a little though - The wifi signal in my room (the last one on the third floor and away from the wifi extender) was really weak, deeming almost impossible to use - There isn't a rubbish bin in the room, just inside the toilet - The shower room was disgusting with mould and dirt all over the place, not to mention hairs and even insects - Noise from other rooms can be easily heard - My room looked dated and in desperate need of a renovation - The elevator went up to the second floor so if you're on the 3rd, you have to carry your bags up another flight of stairs - There is a mini-fridge which was probably turned off for ages. It was smelly and mouldy and in over 35 degrees heat, one could find it useful to have some water cooling down in it but it was impossible to use. Either keep it clean and useful or just remove it from the room

Honorable Guest , Our Hotel management in position here at Le Divona since 1992 has been very surprised and so chocked by reading of your recent comments by 5th of July on Expedia Reservation desk Central because you never mentioned any claim or request to our reception dek during and tend of your stay at our hotel . Would you please pay attention that on same period of time our hotel was under recent involvement of skills with annual due diligences by control quality hotel authority two days before your visit and then inspectors in charge has given and delivered to us full release and approved guarantee in relation with state of Cleanliness of Le Divona Hotel. Would you kindly also review in details all passed comments and third party reports on Expedia since 2012 therefore you will never find a negative comment or mistaken or wrong cleanliness on our Hotel state in any ways. Hotel management is very sorry and so disppointed to be not on the right track of your good level of waiting or desire in regards of your own request of room size and price Greetings Hotel Le Divona Reception desk Management

Propreté et très bon accueil; mais le petit déjeuner devait être ouvert à partir de 7h hors la salle a été ouverte à 7h30 avec un buffet petit déjeuner plus que moyen.

Merci pour votre remarque, la salle du petit déjeuner ouvre normalement à 7h voir 6h45 quand les clents nous le demandent. Après investigation, la personne de service s'est réveiller avec un lumbago et à ouvrir la salle avec 30 minutes de retard. Quand vous dites un petit déjeuner plus que moyen : j'amerrais quand même éveler votre conscience sur la qualité des produits cake fait maison, oeufs omelette oeufs brouilles avec bacon fait minutes sur propositions, yaourt fermier du village d'à côté boissons chaudes, jus de fruits pain artisanale croissants et pains au chocolat au beurre d'isigny salade de fruit faite maison au prix de 11€ et bien chère cliente anonyme nous vous souhaitons de trouver mieux ailleurs à ce prix là.

Etablissement propre, personnel accueillant et de bon conseil. Le seul petit bémol est le parking qui ne peut accueillir toutes les voitures des résidents de l'hôtel. Cependant de nombreuses possibilités de parking gratuit dans le voisinage proche.

Mittelklassehotel mit gutem Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis: Das Hotel liegt im Herzen des charmanten französischen Städtchen Divonne-les-Bains und eignet sich hervorragend für die Übernachtung auf Geschäftsreisen nach Nyon oder Gland. Besonders gut gefallen haben mir das grosszügig bemessene Superior-Doppelzimmer mit Kingsize-Bett und Fenster, welches nur unwesentlich teurer war als das Standard Einzelzimmer, die gute WLAN-Verbindung im 1. Stock sowie genügend kostenfreie Parkplätze am Hotel oder im nahegelegenen Parkhaus. Nicht so gut gefallen hat mir das etwas knappe Frühstücksbuffet. Vermisst habe ich deutsche Fernsehsender. Insgesamt ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt, komme gerne wieder.

Monsieur, tous les véhicules sont admis dans la limite des places disponibles car celui -ci est gratuit. Pour votre information il exise des parking publics gratuit à 20 mètres de notre hôtel. Le problème vient d'ailleurs : la tolérance. Nous espérons qu'à l'avenir vous trouverez un hôtel avec un plus grand parking à votre convenance. Avez vous pu apprécier votre séjour ?
