Dolmen El Charcón I

The hotel's location is fantastic, but it is uncomfortable no matter how you put it. They have different hallways with a set of 8 capsules per hallway. We got hallway #4 capsule #30, at least it was the bottom capsule. Each hallway has a private bathroom for the hallway plus there is communal bathrooms after all the hallways. Next to our room is a closet with an electronic lock to put your luggage. Inside the capsule you have a mirror and TV. You can't control the temperature yourself, only the air flow and if it's cold or hot you have to tell the front to adjust it for you and the other 7 capsules. In order to take a shower you have to (kind of) make a mess inside your capsule or outside in front of everyone, because there is no other way. When we returned to the hotel that night somebody had a mess all over the floor and the place smelled like dirty laundry. This hotel is for 1 or maybe 2 nights, no more. The staff were very helpful and courteous, but it doesn't compensate for the lack of comfort. We stayed the first night, but moved to another hotel after that since it was a 5 days stay.

First time in Fuengirola and so glad we chose this hotel. Superior room with a sea view on 4th floor. Clean, modern, good layout, huge shower and a great view of the beach. Lovely bar area with great air con and friendly staff. Opted for bed and breakfast only as plenty restaurants nearby to eat out. Breakfast & restaurant room fairly small and had to queue for breakfast once or twice but food ok. Standard European breakfast selection. My only gripe was not enough coffee machines. Always a queue/wait for morning coffee. We would definitely return to this hotel!
