"It was an amazing property, well maintained and we very much appreciated the use of the pontoon boat The cabin was spacious and comfortable for our family. Our 8 year old granddaughter said she loved swimming with the loon that came right up at our boat then of course dove down. Great stay"

"The only issue we had was we could not connect to internet, but soon forgot about that due to all the home had to offer. The fairy garden was a wonderful addition to the kids play area. My grand daughter carried one of the fairies around all weekend. Thankyou"

"Family had a great time from 9 months to 69 years. Having the pontoon was a great addition as we used it everyday. Whether it was for fishing or just cruising it was enjoyed by all. The kitchen was stocked with all the pots/pans and utensils we needed to prepare large family dinners. The beach and swimming area provided the young kids a great place to play. We also enjoyed making s'mores at the fire pit. Can’t say enough good things about the Red Pine Cabin."

"If you’re looking for the lake life MN cabin experience, this is the place. This house was perfect to accommodate our large family. The included pontoon boat was a bonus. The lake is so clear with sandy beach. Outdoor activities, such as bags boards or paddle boards would have been nice, as we came from out of town. We had a wonderful time at the lake."

"Very tastefully restored cabin in a spectacular location. My daughter, her husband and two young grandsons stayed in larger cabin while my husband and I stayed in guest cabin. It was PERFECT. Everything was top notch. Beautiful lake and naturalized setting. Boat was luxurious. The large dock was great for an 8 year old to fish off. We couldn't get him away from it. Ate every meal at the picnic table and had a great bonfire most nights. Far exceeded what I had hoped for. A very special place that I especially recommend if you have young families."

I had a few text exchanges with the owner, and he was very engaging and welcomed my questions with quick responses and a very friendly appeal. If the weather would have been better, we may have bought the rest of the week from whoever came in after us! If you're thinking about this property, proceed with confidence. You won't be disappointed."
Near All-Season Trails: Lakefront Crosby Getaway!

"Incredible stay at Rocky Shores! A MN native, I was excited to bring a group of 10 friends from CA for a week on the lake. This property did not disappoint! With 3 separate buildings, we could spread out, yet had plenty of common areas to congregate. The Lodge was a hit - we enjoyed most of our nights here playing games and jamming tunes. Only drawback was having to climb the spiral staircase and walk through the loft bedroom to get to the restroom. It would be ideal to have a main level bathroom available, but we survived! The main cabin was smaller than expected, but the upstairs bedroom (mine and my wife's) had an stunning lake view, as did the living room on the main level. The primary was equipped with a vanity - although a toilet/shower would have been optimal, having the sink and vanity space was great for getting ready in the morning without forging the (steep) stairs. The other 2 guestrooms were small, but no complaints from the occupants. The kitchen had ample amenities to suit our cooking needs (we cooked almost every meal throughout the week). We did encounter a small leak in the refrigerator, which was temporarily fixed with a bowl - not a huge deal! Having only one bathroom for 5 people was a little tricky, but we managed to coordinate between the other buildings' bathrooms. The water pump in the main house is quite loud on the main floor, but went unnoticed once we figured out what it was. The sun porch was great for meal gatherings, as was the deck with plenty of seating and fire pit. Not to mention again, the view! We BBQ'd several times, and needed to fill the propane tank, which wasn't a problem. Upon arrival, we had some difficulty unlocking the porch door to the deck, but were able to troubleshoot immediately with the host. The bunkhouse was perfect for friends traveling with a dog. Unsure if the kitchen amenities were utilized, but there was a kitchenette with a table as well as a private bathroom, TV, and bunkbeds. There was mention of not being able to get hot water in the shower, and that the fridge didn't work, but we were able to work around, sharing amenities from the other buildings. Thankfully we had great weather, and were able to use the new dock for fishing and relaxing. The paddle boat looked to be operable, but it was full of water, so we opted out! The host's hospitality and availability was above and beyond! We were checked in on often, and they were very responsive and cordial! Count on us returning to Rocky Shores!"
