"We just returned from a 2 day 1 night cruise on the Paradise Grand. It was perfect. We were tendered out to the boat and I wasn’t sure what to expect. We were met with a cool towel and drink and were well taken care of from the point on. Our cruise was through Lan Ha bay which is a bit quieter and I much preferred it. The cruise boat was lovely and the food was really tasty. It was so wonderful to sit and enjoy a meal and watch the stunning scenery go by. We biked to a village and then returned to the boat for tea on the top deck while we watched a cooking demo. Then we ordered a happy hour drink to our room and enjoyed the quiet of our private balcony. For dinner we were well taken care of by Louise who looked after our every need. We had the lobster and steak and they were delicious. We finished the evening off with a relaxing massage in the spa. The next morning we had coffee on the top deck as the sun came up and then enjoyed a boat ride to a small cave. After breakfast we packed up and were tendered back. It wasn’t a long trip but it was a perfect amount of time for us and we felt very pampered the whole way. The room was spacious by cruise standards and the bed very comfortable. I was very happy with my experience on the Paradise Grand."

"The boat was superb. Brand new and service was excellent. Food really nice. We were upgraded to this ship on the day when travelling to the port which was a bit concerning but all good in the end. We ended up on a better boat so very nice. Trip was excellent. The only reason I didn’t mark it overall as a 5* was the cost but we got what we paid for. So if you want a luxurious trip to Halong bay I’d recommend this trip "

"3 day 2 night Halong bay cruise. Boat was amazing much like a super yacht. Crew and tour staff were fantastic, all very professional, polite, friendly and always wanting to make sure we were having a great time. Food excellent, entertainment, memorable. A full itinerary of trips and things to do. The time flew by. 100% recommend L’amour cruise. Definitely 2 nights if you can afford it."

"The hotel itself is very clean and modern inside however we arrived at 9:30pm and were told the restaurant closed at 10pm. We checked in and went upstairs to the restaurant at 9:35pm and were told we were too late and there was no food, there is no food around the property so that was a bit unfortunate. As we had messaged ahead multiple times informing reception the time we were arriving it would have been kind to have left something for guests to have on arrival, even a banana… Be warned the ‘Pine Hill’ rooms are up lots of steps with no lift, the security did help carry the bag without any complaints and he was extremely helpful but it would be hard without help. Check out is a nightmare as they have to send someone to check your room and ensure you haven’t ‘stolen’ anything, they tried to take 1m VND on check in as a deposit but I had read reviews that they charge for silly things such as shampoo on towels so refused and offered credit card which they didn’t want - doubtful you’d get your full deposit back so be cautious. It is very convenient if you’re arriving for a night before your HaLong Bay cruise which we were and the Grabs are super quick to arrive and take you to the port. There isn’t much they would have to do to up the standard of this hotel and improve their ratings, it’s a shame as the hotel itself is lovely inside and its pool area looks beautiful. "

"The cruise was above average in terms of staff, rooms, organization. My only fault for the cruise was over cooked sea foods, mostly chewy chicken and roast beef. There was plenty of food that helped to compensate for the other over cooked stuff."
