"The USP of this property is the amazing view down to Lago di Lugano across into Switzerland. There is also the interesting story about the old funicular railway to the rear of the hotel which closed in 1977 but may be refurbished and reinstated if funds can be secured. It is a rural location, about 20 mins walk from the nearby town of Lanzo d'Intelvi and the bus service from Como drops you about 400m from the hotel reception if you aren't driving. Rooms were not air conditioned but you do get a oscillating fan! Get a room with a view and you won't be disappointed "

All the staff were very friendly and helpful, booking a taxi for us when we checked out to take us to the train station. The restaurant and breakfast was very good and it had incredible views of lake from our table. "
