"Unbeatable views but that's about it. No elevator. Had to lug all of our luggage upstairs ourselves. No help from the staff. Rooms are incredibly outdated and dilapidated. The TV is smaller than my laptop. The shower is the size of a shower on a cruise ship. The restaurant on property is just ok. They try too hard to serve fancy food instead of sticking to a traditional, simple Italian menu. If it wasn't for the incredible view it would have been a total bust."

"We were provided 2 rooms for 5 people and both were clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel is excellent, steps from the ferry and waterfront. The breakfast was well curated and much appreciated by everyone in our group. Thank you!"

"Easy Parking right next to the hotel. Friendly staff. The free coffee and tea in reception was a bonus, as were the croissants in the morning. Very comfortable bed. "

"Lovely three day stay in Menaggio where we really enjoyed the hotel. The property sits on the water and a sweet square, full of life, dog walking and beautiful views. Hotel Du Lac is like an inn, with a small coffee cafe restaurant on property. Everything we had there was wonderful, and the view of the lake and activity on the walkway was lovely. Special thanks to employee Faisal who was patient with me when I called being"lost" at another property of the same name in another lake town. He was kind, got us on the right ferry and welcomed us when we arrived at the front desk. He also was our server for a quick lunch upon arrival, and we felt well taken care of. Overall a quiet little town, not as crowded as some of the more known towns, and we highly recommend the town and Hotel Du Lac."

"Every now & then, you find an absolute Gem, this was most certainly 1 of those occasions, the service at reception was simply outstanding both upon arrival & today on departure, all staff were extremely welcoming & friendly & although we knew no Italian (which is shameful English education system) they all spoke in good, clear English, the food was simply superb, every dish was cooked & presented in perfection, the immediate area around the hotel grounds was meticulously maintained, we chose a room with a partial lake view, but, in fact, it had a superb view & we were in awe. Of the whole feel & vibe of the place, both Caroline & I would like to express our heartfelt warmth & gratitude for the superb attention given throughout our stay, each & everyone we met & spoke to were great ambassadors to your Hotel, thank you, thank you, thank you, hope to see you again in the future."
