Kauai Shores Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Didn’t look that special pulling up but I would stay there again over other super fancy hotels. Great location. Great staff. Definitely more oriented to families. Has cornhole, giant connect four, a nice outdoor pool and a walk up to the beach. Not a good beach for snorkeling. The west side of Kauai has rough waters. But an easy drive up to hanalei or poipu. Would 10/10 recommend."

"Owner Alicia was super sweet. Excellent customer service and helpful. The property was excellent, we got oceanfront so the beach was right out front. Our 4 year old loved the pool. And the room was out dated, which we're ok with. But only complaint is the tv was not working and the coffee machine, which I was really sad about. I never said anything bec I'm not the type to complain and not a huge deal."

"Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a good time at Kealia Landing house. The house suited our needs just fine: three bedrooms each with their own bath for three adult couples vacationing together. The lanai and kitchen served us well. The fresh ocean breeze coming through the big windows and doors was so nice. Only a few items for maintenance or to address: we would suggest having gutters cleaned since they filled with rain water and overflowed because of debris in them. All door and window hardware need maintenance since they were hard to open and close at times. The path to the beach is very steep and the lower section is virtually invisible. You have to bushwhack through the grasses to the trail/walking path below. We would suggest knocking down the grasses so a distinct path is visible from house to trail. Be careful with the beach below the house. Towards the life guard stand is the better area. The area below the house and closer to the breakwater has many unhoused people living in cars and tents. Unsightly and at times, smelled :("

Ocean Front 3-bedroom house in phenomenal Anahola with WiFi and A/C

"What a beautiful home and we loved the location. Amazing marine life/tidepools in front of the house (seals, a huge turtle that comes to shore daily, and an octopus!). It had everything we needed. Only one disappointment was that we were looking forward to the karaoke machine in the game room and we couldn't get a signal. Not too big of a deal given the beautiful home, location, fantastic snorkeling, and an excellent host! We will stay here again when we come back. Thank you!"

"The resort was excellent. It looked much better in person than in the photos. We were happily impressed. The location was great to do day trips all over the island. The property staff was constantly working to keep everything clean and well manicured. The koi pond was so beautiful. We played ping-pong, croquet, bocci ball and used the putting greens. The even had games to check out. The grill we used was clean. J107 is the best location: closest to the pool, recreation activities, laundry, front desk, and parking. The host responded immediately to our communications and was very pleasant to work with. Highly recommend "

"The house fit our family of 12 (8 adults, 4 children) perfectly, everyone had their own space and bathroom. Check in process was easy, had a minor issue with the lock box but the management was very responsive and solved the issue quickly. The location was ideal for what we wanted; the house was right on the beach, we watched the sunrise every morning and hung at the beach most afternoons, There were plenty of beach chairs, boogie boards, etc for the beach. The location of the home was great, being on the east side we were in between the North and South sides; spent time at Waimea Canyon, Napali Coast, Kayak tour, sleeping giant, Tunnels Beach, Hanalei, but we usually ended up chilling in the afternoon at our beach house and cooking dinner in. We stopped at Costco before we headed to the house, but also made stops when needed at Safeway. Great time, great location great Island. "
