"The staff were very curtious at the front desk
But at the breakfast most of them were not refilled and most customers did not have bread and other items like boiled eggs "
"This hotel is great, I only wish the pool was open more regularly. The last couple stays prior to this one it was closed for renovation. I attempted to go this morning a couple hours prior to checking out, and it was closed."
"The 1st floor elevator call button wasn't working. So you either had to schlep your stuff up to the second floor and get the elevator there, or, you could wall up to your room. The desk staff were very apologetic and offered to have the elevator dispatched from the upper floors back to the first floor. Just a hassle. Room was fine but did notice some small black ants on the countertop both at night and the next morning. Rooms appeared to have been upgraded, but the hall carpet was worn in several places. "
Residence Inn by Marriott Charlottesville Downtown
10/10 Excellent
"Excellent location, large room, quiet, comfortable and clean. Easy walk to the downtown mall and stores. Excellent place to stay for the yearly Festival of the Book."
"The indoor pool is out of order for the indefinite future (expected never to reopen), so it’s now just a big pond behind a window. It should not be listed as an amenity."

"A great place to spend a relaxing, quiet weekend. The host was very helpful and responsive, and the cabin and property were beautiful. Highly recommended! "
