"This was a super cute little hotel connected to the restaurant below. The staff was super friendly. Very basic accommodation, nothing special, room is small, but satisfactory. Matched the pictures. Perfect for a solo traveler. I did not stay in the hotel room except to sleep."

"Overall, this would have been a perfect place for me EXCEPT foul scents from time to time in general, along with uncomfortable scents in kitchen cupboards/etc, was actually SEWER GAS LEAK. I thought the issue was cleanliness, and because I planned to be there for 2.5 months, I would just clean it myself. Almost a month in, a significantly strong sewer smell came up from the bathroom sink and drains, and I became sick with acute symptoms and asked to leave. Note: there was a sewer smell on my first day, but I thought host had remedied the problem when I addressed it, as that specific smell went away. Since leaving this VRBO location, I have been bedridden for a week and in touch with 2 doctors. With all bloodwork and X-rays taken, the final diagnosis was sewer gases in my digestive track - “gases de esgoto” (ou pantano). The doctor at the hospital explained, had I stayed much longer, I could have gone into a coma.Although the host had been as accommodating as possible while I was there, he was dismissive of my symptoms and cause. This concerns me for others who will want to rent. I did let him know of the doctor’s diagnosis, so he can find a professional to take care of necessary plumbing. We left it at that. Reluctant at first, he did refund the money for the remaining time after I moved out. Book at your own risk.Note mold behind seats, rust on silverware, and decaying particle board (w humidity) furniture in pictures were other issues I did not know about until there."

"We stayed in a room on the side of the building. An ocean view would have been amazing, but we kept the window open all night and could hear the waves crashing. The room is small, but clean, comfortable, quiet, and we had a great sleep!! This room met all our needs! Very friendly service and we felt welcomed! "

"Love Nazaré, you may not want to go home! Host had great communication. Check in and out process was seamless. Enjoyed the secured parking garage and proximity for walking to the entire city without being in the noise. Clean and Spacious. If you stay here definitely check out Waves Tacos & Tapas excellent food & friendly staff. For a late night snack I recommend Art Pizza delicious. Sunsets from the patio were priceless. I would definitely stay here again!"

"This is a delightful rental located in a perfect spot that is close to everything. Very clean and comfortable and has everything you need. We most enjoyed how unique and special the decor is and the record player while we sipped on Portuguese wine. What a special 24 hrs in Nazare we had! "
