Beautiful restored Stone-built villa in a quiet rural setting.

Welcome to Le Bercail
I have owned and loved this house since 1995 and it is my great pleasure to share its joys with a small number of guests each year. The house is secluded and tranquil but only two kilometres from the village of Entrecasteaux (less by foot down the "secret" Roman Road) and 40 minutes from the nearest beach. It has two double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a small room with bunk beds for children and even two single beds in the room we normally use as a library/studio.
There is a third bathroom and toilet down near the back door by the pizza oven. This is not easily accessible from the house.
There is a shady garage for cars and lots of different levels, either grass or gravel for play and eating outside. There is a stone pizza oven/barbecue on the lower terrace which, together with the shade from the old oak outside the front door make two great places to eat out in the summer, The pool has been especially adapted so there is a very shallow end for children and is surrounded by railings with child-proof gates.
The living room is large and open plan. There is a wood burner for anyone there in the winter but in the summer it is hot and is not needed. There is a grand piano, Sky TV, French Satellite TV and a Stereo System/CD Player.
There is a wi-fi connection for internet junkies.
The village is very lively in the summer with several bars and restaurants but if you wish there are some wonderful remote and beautiful walks.

Summer trip

We had an absolutely amazing week at this stunning villa! Fabulous location in a beautifully quiet area of Provence. The villa was cosy and welcoming and perfect for people wanting to explore local villages, markets and vineyards. Roy was a great host, very communicative and made sure we had everything we needed. We couldn’t recommend it enough!

With two Kids and our dog we enjoyed our stay at Bercail very much. It was the Perfect place to live our provencial experience to the fullest. Le Bercail avec des températures élevées

Lors des journées chaudes consécutives, le manque de climatisation pose un inconvénient majeur. Malheureusement la piscine qui pouvait fournir le refroidissement n'avait pas été suffisamment nettoyée avant notre arrivée. Par contre, après signalement à le propriétaire c'était rapidement résolu, donc grand merci à vous. M. Dinsdale est un bon hôte, facilement accessible et ouvert et vue que nous n'avons pas vu, ni parlé à l'immobilière locale c'est un très grand plus. La maison est charmant dans un cadre vert et le barbecue en gaz était fortement apprécié (certainement avec l'interdit des feux ouverts dans le Var).

Mitten in der Natur

Liebevoll eingerichtetes Haus mitten in der Natur mit Pool, Piano & unglaublich leckere Croissants im netten Ort. Das Haus liegt quasi genau zwischen der Schlucht von Verdon und dem Mittelmeer, alles gut zu erreichen. Danke, dass wir das Haus nutzen durften :)

Wonderful holiday destination

Wir haben mit 2 kleinen Kindern bei Roy übernachtet und einen fantastischen Urlaub verbracht. Roy ist ein hervorragender Gastgeber, immer erreichbar und erfüllt alle Wünsche. Das Haus ist unglaublich mit seinem riesigen Pool!!! Die Umgebung ist wunderschön und alles ist schnell erreichbar. Wir bedanken uns bei Roy für diesen tollen Aufenthalt und kommen bestimmt wieder. Ein sehr schöner Ort, um sich zu erholen

Ein sehr schönes Haus, ruhig gelegen mit vielen Aufenthaltsmöglichkeiten. Es ist sehr gut ausgestattet und es hat uns nichts gefehlt. Man merkt das der Eigentümer selber hier lebt und es sehr schätzt. Roy und Christoph waren immer sehr schnell und freundlich, um uns bei kleineren Problemen auszuhelfen. Nur als es tagsüber 40° Grad hatte, staute sich die Wärme in den oberen Zimmer erheblich. Aber zum Glück ist es ja nicht immer so heiß. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit und habe von dort aus viel die schöne Gegen erkundet.

Nous avons trouvé l’endroit sag splendide. Au niveau de la propreté, à l’intérieur, p.ex poussière au dessus de la cheminée, frigo non vidé…. Des détails qui peuvent être améliorer. L’extérieur avec la piscine et le barbecue est fabuleux.

Tout le charme du Haut-Var.

La région d'Entrecasteaux offre le meilleur de la Provence. La maison et son environnement immédiat sont très agréables et pleins de charme. L'accueil et les échanges avec Roy sont précis, chaleureux, facilitant grandement l'accueil, la prise de possession des lieux. Nous avons vécu 15 belles journées.

Es war wundervoll!

Wir konnten einen sehr erholsamen und fröhlichen Urlaub in diesem Haus erleben. Der Besitzer war immer kurzfristig erreichbar und hat sich super gekümmert. Das Haus ist groß, ohne direkte Nachbarn und sehr ruhig gelegen, jedoch nicht weit zum nächsten Ort. Die Einrichtung ist stilvoll, für jung und alt prima! Wir waren mit 4 Kindern zwischen 6 und 12, 2 Erwachsenen und einem Hund 17 Tage dort und würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

La maison (ancienne) est agréable, calme, bien équipée. Elle est disposée agréablement dans un vallon Varois. La piscine est sympa. Le propriétaire est très agréable et soucieux que tout se passe au mieux. Un bon séjour!
