Cozy cabin in serene Hendricks with WiFi, AC

"This was the perfect escape from all of the noise of life. We actually kept a car and deer count daily, and we saw many more see than cars! The roads are all paved but very narrow and not for the faint of heart, but worth having so little traffic. The cabin is clean, comfortable and has a porch anyone would envy! We spent a great deal of time there. It’s well equipped with a gas grill, porch swing and table and chairs to eat at. Our dogs loved lounging there too. The view is unbelievable! Truly breathtaking. It is so quiet that you can hear the resident hummingbird chirping at the Rose of Sharon bushes as it feeds. The cabin is well stocked with quality appliances. It is very clean and has everything a couple and two dogs need! The bed and couch are comfortable. But the best part of this trip was meeting and talking to our hosts, Okey and Sherry. They are the kindest, most attentive hosts. We feel honored that they shared this special piece of land with us, as well as their garden vegetables and eggs! They made our stay one million times better. Our next stay cannot come soon enough. This part of West Virginia is truly almost heaven."

"Great property and beautiful old farmhouse! The amenities were perfect for our stay, we had everything that we needed. Since we visited in August, the humidity was high and the AC unit was a life saver in early 1900’s farmhouse. Communications with the owners were smooth and they helpful with any questions we had. Great stay and we would definitely book again!"

"The property is beautiful and quiet. The main living area is nice and large to spread out/relax. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking a variety of meals and grilling. There is no AC and it was rather hot during our stay in August."

"The Queen cabin was absolutely amazing!! spacious & very clean. Bathroom was as nice as any we've ever seen & the hot tub was the cherry on top!! The owners had a very organized book to help with activities & dining which we greatly appreciated! we will be back for sure!!"

HF 15 -Perfect Family Retreat! Sleeps 24! Hot tub!

"We had 12 adults and 2 youngsters and there was plenty of room for all. The great room was spacious and comfortable, kitchen well furnished which was great when you are cooking for 14 people. The house was large enough to provide quiet and privacy when you wanted. The bedrooms were roomy and comfortable and very quiet, you couldn't hear much of anything from the rest of the house when the doors were closed. Charcoal grill was large and clean but bring your own charcoal. Toilet tissue and paper towels were on hand but not enough to last the whole week so bring some with you. The hot tub was clean and spacious, easy for 8 people to sit in. Our first morning there we got to see a doe nursing her fawn and deer were present every day of our stay. All in all everyone enjoyed the stay. Our two biggest issues included the remoteness. There is a dollar store in Harman about 15 minutes south and the nearest grocery was in Davis, 20-25 minutes. But it does provide quiet solitude and incredible skies at night with no light pollution. The other issue is that it could have used a good deep clean. The house keepers said we were the first renters since ski season so it had been vacant for 3 months or so. But it wasn't a huge problem. We all would highly recommend the house for a large group, we had a great week there."
