Good stay
Big sized apartments, we stayed in a one bed apartment which one had stand in balcony which we were slightly dissapointed with. Kitchen is well equipped however they do not have a toaster which i was slightly dissapointed with. Bathroom is little dated don't like the fact they have shower curtains. Staff are very helpful. Location is great as its close to MOE and easy to get onto the main roads. Overall was a good stay for what we paid for.

nice hotel
Arrived early morning not expecting to check in at that time ,but within 10 minutes were given a room upgrade and allowed in room and did not have to waste the day waiting around. room was on 2 floors with bedroom on top floor, plenty of wardrobe space in bedroom and extra wardrobe down stairs , fully fitted kitchen with washer/dryer, spacious living room with table and chairs plus sofa and chair . tv upstairs and down ,extra large balcony. only one fault no washing up material ie washing up cloth washing up liquid or tea towel although not a big item would have been handy. breakfast had plenty to chose from and staff were extremely friendly and efficient as were all staff in the hotel.overall a most enjoyable stay and look forward to returning

Great hotel close to the Mall
Had a great time at this hotel . Staffs were pleasant and very accommodating .Breakfast was nice with variety of selections.Our room was big and clean with 2 bathrooms and comfortable beds.The hotel was about 5-minutes away from the Mall of the Emirates by shuttle which they provided on a scheduled basis .There was a shulttle also going to the beach . I am very happy with this hotel as far as location and service .Will recommend it to anybody needing a hotel near the Mall of the Emirates .Thank you to all the staff in the reception, breakfast area (specially Lazaro and his buddy who helped us with metro directions) ,housekeeping staff .Kudos to all . Hotel was close to the mall and two grocery stores
The hotel is not bad but the breakfast is horrible!!!! that is the only reason why I would never return. Management needs to visit other hotels and learn what should be served for breakfast for an international visitors example for OAT meal do not mix it with milk. Let visitors mix for themselves. I recommend more breakfast choices by asking feed back from several guests.

Outstanding Staff
I have stayed at the Marmara several times over the last two years. Great Value! Always clean, good food, Great WiFi and location. But I stay because of the people. Best Staff in Dubai! Period. They accommodate your needs and make sure you have what is you need to have a great stay. I have stayed at multiple hotels all over Dubai. But I come back because of the Staff. Close to the Mall and plenty of food locations behind the hotel.

Apartment style hotel close to Subway
Check in was great. Although I arrived at 2 am in the morning staff was courteous and gave me an upgrade to full suite. Room was spacious but the furniture looked very old. There were stains on the carpet. Otherwise the room was clean. Kitchen and bathrooms were clean Pros: big room, close to the mall and transportation. Cons: you can hear and SMELL everything happening in the adjacent room! Woke up to very strong smell of onions cooking. Smell lingered even when I opened all the windows! "Fitness center" in the hotel is a joke. Equipment is older than I am and the room is the size of a broom closet. Few equipment they have either don't work or not safe. Breakfast is very basic. I don't think it warrants the money they charge. Overall, I think there are better hotels nearby at the same price range.

Very friendly & helpful staff
The staff were very obliging, nothing was too much trouble for them. The room very spacious, comfortable beds, great for family's. Very close to Mall of Emirates, where you can catch train to most places eg. Dubai Mall & The old part of Dubai, souks etc.

Convenient and fuss-free
The BAD: Housekeeping standards and counter staff friendliness vary from day to day, and from one staff member to another. The GOOD: Free parking available. Very easy access to supermarkets for supplies, and very near to Mall of the Emirates. Kitchen area adequately stocked up. Appliances come with easy to follow instructions.

staff overall was very uncooperative. They were very rigid with there conduct, dint even allow my guests to visit my room during my stay. The parking had alot of smell of the gutter and stuff.

Normal feeling hotel that makes you feel home
The hotel is located near to the Mall of the Emirates and has several restaurants and services in walking distance. The welcoming staff made the stay a total pleasure and they even fulfilled every request I made in a very timely manner and in a proper way! I highly recommend this hotel for all classes of visitors. I would however not classify it as a luxury hotel but it is certainly a home away from home! The Internet was working properly most of the time and much better than in most other hotels I tried in Dubai. They get my best rating possible for a hotel in Dubai and I certainly can recommend it to anyone!

This hotel is an excellent value. Having stayed here more than a week it was great to have a full kitchen and washing machine. The shuttle was also extremely helpful as it goes to the Mall of Emirates (which is within walking distance in case you want to walk to/from the metro stop late at night) and to Jumeirah Beach. Free beach towels and umbrella is an awesome perk as well. The only hiccup was some trouble locating our reservation at first but that got sorted and we were given an upgrade from a studio to a one bedroom. All in all, very affordable and highly recommended!

Marmara - Excellent Hotel and Staff
We arrived early evening and was met by friendly helpful staff, who upgraded us to a one bedroom suite - bonus! The rooms was excellent, cleaned with a fresh bottle of water every day. When we wanted a taxi the concierge got one straight away, no query was left unanswered, they called to confirm tours and trips for us and helped with their local knowledge. A complimentary bus is available to take you to the Mall of America and the Beach with pick up times available throughout the day. Would highly recommend they haven't been open long but are building up a great reputation. Well done Marmara we loved our stay - thank you for helping my our holiday a good one.

Very comfortable
Lodged there for 5 days and I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the apartment. The staff are very courteous and extremely helpful. It has all the amenities you would need for a short stay and it's located in a very popular area where you can get a taxi in minutes at anytime of the day. Only snag is that they need to add more English channels and provide more options in the breakfast buffet. I would recommend it to anyone and would not hesitate to rebook it next time I am in dubai

Walkable to the mall of The Emirates
Had a great stay, walkable to the mall where it was easy to get the hop on hop off bus. The apartment was roomy and having one and a half bathrooms was a great plus.

Close to Emirates Mall
We arrived around 5am(ish) after a 14 hour flight. Check-in was not until 2pm but we were able to enter our room early after payment of an additional charge. Rooms were nice, modern & clean. Even though the kitchen was well equipped one downside was no coffee/tea/sugar sachets and we'd have loved a cuppa after such a long flight. We napped until late morning and ordered room service (after being told it cost the same as eating downstairs) quite a generous feed. After 'refuelling' we used the free shuttle (courtesy of the hotel) to the Emirates Mall where we also visited a supermarket for a few supplies then got the free shuttle home again after checking out the mall. The mall is quite close but in temps over 40 degrees celsius we opted for the shuttle with air-con. Very easy to get a taxi outside to other Dubai attractions. Quite a busy road right outside this place and you can hear traffic noise but we slept okay and found the bed comfy. Buffet breakfast was fine also.

Stopover
We found Dubai very hot - thank goodness for air conditioning. The bus transfer from Hotel to the Mall & beach seemed very efficient. The accommodation was wonderful - comfortable ,spacious and value for money. The let down was the food - breakfast was not worth the money at all even though the staff were very attentive. We did not try the other food options offered.

A Desert Gem
From our late evening check in to our evening checkout our stay couldn't have been better. Weary travelers upon checkin they opened closed kitchen to serve us delicious lentil soup & it just got better. Assistance from everyone was given graciously. Our careers were spent doing global travel and Marmara is a star that exceeded all previous stays anywhere. Kudos to all staff and management. You are 5 star +.

Convenient position
We chose this hotel for its position to access the attractions we wanted on a short stopover. It was good for the price we paid but, just now, Feb. 2015, it is very noisy all round the clock as another high rise building is going up nearby. The double glazing is effective as long as you don`t want the window open. We were given an upgrade to a suite but thought that it was a bit of a quart in a pint pot! There was an extra toilet off the lounge area, but the en-suite had an over bath shower rather than a walk-in shower and space was limited in all four rooms with only a 4`6`` bed. The kitchen was so badly designed that the microwave had to sit sideways with the door fouling the cooker rings on opening & shared the one electric socket with the kettle. The outdoor pool area was very pleasant as were the restaurants. The staff were really friendly, helpful & efficient.

THE place to stay in Dubai!
I looked into a hotel in Dubai for weeks before deciding on this one...As we intended to do 5 star activities we thought we'd save on the hotel but still we were looking for the best value for money/quality. As I was reading the great reviews we went ahead and booked four nights in March and we don't regret it! As soon as we arrived we received a four star service, got even upgraded into a lovely one bedroom apartment which was cleaned every day. The breakfast was ok (room for improvement maybe?) but even that was not a problem as everything else was perfect... The strength of this hotel and what makes the difference (as the competition in Dubai is quite strong) is probably the size of the rooms and value for money but above all its staff... The best service I've ever had and as we have friends there we'll be visiting shortly again and will not go anywhere else than the Marmara...

Nice hotel, not great location
Our stay at the Marmara was excellent. Friendly, helpful staff and the hotel was extremely clean. The only downside for us was the location. The shuttle to the beach took you to a beach with nothing on it including beds or shops! Literally nowhere to get a drink or good and you had to lie on the beach! Taxis are cheap so wasn't to bad and would recommend getting a taxi to the walk at jbr for a nicer beach with more atmosphere!

A solid hotel
Helpful staff and clean room. Adequate wifi but not great. Balcony door didn't seal fantastically meaning some dust and noise from the nearby building site. A few small things would improve the hotel greatly, such as a bit of detergent for the washing machine to get you started, and some extra items in the kitchen like a tea towel to make it more useful. A bit of a hike from the Metro via the mall but always a taxi going past.

Nice room, close to mall, practical shuttle servic
Nice clean room, close location to Emirates mall, nice small restaurants in the neighborhood, practical shuttle service are the pros. The cons were bed quality, noizy work going on from early morning, long distance to old Dubai. Staff were just average - seldom had time for a friendly hallo.... Pool area is ok

wonderful experience of staying in Dubai
We have wonderful experience with this hotel apartment during our stay 27-29/Dec/2014. We booked 2 bedrooms apartment with our two kids to celebrate our wedding anniversary and explore Dubai city. Our plane arrived early morning around 6 am on check in date. The check in staff has been so kind to let us check in early and upgrade us to 12 floor with the city view. During our stay, the staff in front desk have been so helpful for our queries, especially the Manager of the hotel ( always dress formal suite ) even offer us the left when we ask for the direction to the Emirates Mall (on 28 / Dec morning, although we decided to walk to experience the local community). In conclusion, The location of the hotel is convenient to beach ( by shuttle bus) and mall ( by walk in 10 mins or by shuttle bus); the rooms make you feel home away from home. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We are definitely come back to this hotel/ apartment for next year visit Dubai.

EXCELLENT VALUE FOR ONE'S MONEY
The apartment we were upgraded to was excellent!!! Master room with en-suite, a cloakroom with WC and hand basin next to the lounge. A kitchen fully equipped with a big fridge, washing machine, microwave and electric cooker. It has everything you can expect for a trouble free stay...One TV set in the master room and one in the lounge. Wi-Fi internet, one is given as many cards with usernames and passwords as devices you bring with you at the reception at the moment of the check-in. The speed of the connection is not lightning fast but it is OK to upload your pictures to the cloud, just be prepared to wait for a while. There is an extension lead with six universal sockets on one of the TV stand shelves , so no need to worry about adapters for your plugs. The members of the staff were very helpful and kind most of the time. There is a shuttle bus to the Mall and the beach but you have to check the schedule available at the reception if you want to use it to suit your needs. There are some small supermarkets nearby (Four to five minutes walk), a Lebanese restaurant few meters away (They even deliver to your room if you want to), laundries, grocery shops, etc. We went to a bar relatively close to the hotel, I had a pint of Guinness(£8) and my girlfriend had a pint of Stella Artois(£7), so be aware the prices of the alcoholic drinks are quite high, bearing in mind that that was not the most luxurious bar in the city, it was a good one but not five star

a good hotel
a good hotel away from the center of duBai but the shuttle bus to emirates mall makes it easy if you have problem walking to the mall which is 10 to 15 minutes walk. some of the furniture needs immediate attention a lot of resturants close to the hotel and a lot of small stores if you need small things like milk, coffee, or food cans.
