"WISH WE HADN’T!!! . No lights at all working on communal stairs so pitch black up to top floor apartment apartment. Stuff from other flats left on stairs so added to trip hazard. Kitchen poorly equipped , we had to go and buy something to cook in , no bread board , peeler etc. oven was disgusting, oily and old burnt food left in it . communication on location and flat number very poor so we ended up knocking on other people’s doors until we got a call from Vrbo finally . "From the moment we arrived our host “Kristie”,looked after us throughout our stay. The Stables were super clean and had lots of lovely touches that make a real difference to a short break. Hot tub was squeaky clean and crystal clear, robes, footwear, towels of great quality were provided too. We will be back and we highly recommend both the property and host, too marks 😀"

"Chose this hotel as we are travelling as a family with my teen and their friend. Wanted a separate space for them without it being a second room booking. Stayed in the Dainton suite and it was just what we needed. Two bedrooms with their own shower and a shared bathroom. Cost was comparable to the price of a standard family room in other city hotels. "The house is a very unique house with a deep history set in extensive formal gardens. The staff, particularly in reception and the Restaurant are attentive and very pleasant. The age and design of the house allows functions such as weddings and prom parties to be held without disturbing other guests. It may be a little dog-eared but that seems to add to its charm."

Best Breakfast and Service

"We had a really good stay at this hotel, the breakfast was one of the best we've had, the best selection and very tasty. The evening meal was also beautiful, can't fault any of the food. Family room was large and huge bed, but disappointed in the lack of air conditioning and the shower quality. It was a bit disappointing hearing one of the waitresses at the breakfast entrance talk to the younger staff in a very rude manner. Bit of a chip on her shoulder as all the staff who we seen cleared the plates quickly and refreshed all the food in good time. Probably the best service I've seen at breakfast. Only other small gripe was the child's pool times, extremely restricted, so please check this if your going with children and have a busy schedule. We would certainly return to the hotel."
