"This is a stunner of a hotel right on the shore in Dunkirk. Lovely room and bar/lobby. Because we were on a roadtrip for F1 we had a car which was accommodated by the parking lot. (We had a Volvo XC60, and it was a bit of a squeeze even though not full, so best if you have a smaller car to maneuver.) Nothing but positive feedback and highly recommend staying at the Merveilleux. "

"Such a friendly and accommodating team at Mercure Dunkerque. Spacious family room for a family of 4, comfy beds and convenient parking below the hotel. Amazing location for early morning Shuttle crossing to UK. We’ve stayed here twice when doing this journey and can’t wait to come visit again! "

"The property is very clean, the room was aswell. The owners are very friendly and ready to help. The area, close to the beach, is one of the best in the Dunkerque area. I just miss the possibility to get a herbal tea or coffee in the common area. "

"Good location on edge of Dunkirk centre. Easy walk into centre where there are a few bars and restaurants Free parking outside hotel. Small comfortable hotel 20mins drive from ferry terminal."

"Absolutely amazing hotel. When travelling, I prefer to stay at chain hotels as they tend to be more reliable and safe. Hotel room was huge, toilet/ shower was a very good size and the check in was so easy. The lady spoke both French and English so made it a very easy process. Got breakfast included which was lovely. Short walk to the museum and Christmas market as well as the high streets and Dunkirk harbour. 10/10 recommend"

"Good location overlooking the Atlantic. Very basic, but we liked it. Big bathroom with shower department. Very clean, very nice staff. Did not eat there. Good restaurants 10 mins away along the coastline."

"JUst SO small. Locks and windows had been violently broken in the past and hastily repaired. SAFETY was a concern, even for the managers who even buzzed in customers during daylight hours. Ours was the only car in the parking lot, even with many other peolpe staying. Even the clicking heels after midnight didn't have a car. I guess they were on the clock. Over all, I would never recommend an outsider staying there. Forget it if you are a woman traveling alone."

"Slightly confused about finding reception to get the keys but the man there was very friendly and helpful. Apartment was clean and great for our family. Right by the sea and we had fab crepes from a great cafe on the sea front. Only things I would change would be the shower door which leaked and maybe updated smart TVs "
