Cozy Cabin on Florida River- 15 mins from Downtown

A cozy cabin on the river with mountain views, ideally located between Downtown Durango and both the Vallecito and Lemon Reservoirs. Come here to get away from it all, while enjoying the relaxing sounds of the river and serene views of the mountains and pines. Our river cabin blends a spirit of rustic log construction with recent updates. A stocked kitchen and well-furnished living space will make your days in the mountains comfortable, yet accessible to all that Durango has to offer! You’ll find our cabin simple, yet charming. A wood stove is located in the living room that can take the chill off a cool night. Sleeping accommodations include a king size bed in the main bedroom, as well as two twin beds in the guest cabin. A queen size sleeper sofa in the living room provides additional flexibility. A washer and dryer provide the opportunity to do a quick load of laundry if needed. Traveling to the mountains is a great way to disconnect, but if you’d like to stay connected, the cabin is equipped with high speed internet, a cellular signal booster and 4K Smart TV’s. Enjoy a movie night with Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu and more. If a family game night is something you’ll enjoy, grab a blanket, get comfy, and select from the board games for family entertainment. We promise you’ll want to come back again and again to enjoy the tranquility of living on the river in the mountains while be close to ALL that the Durango area has to offer. Our property is available year round for enjoyment of all seasons. Thank you for considering our cozy cabin. Our guests can enjoy private access to the Florida River. Guests will have access to the entire property which includes both a main cabin and guest cabin. We love sharing our river cabin with family and friends. If there’s anything we can do to make your visit more enjoyable, please message us, and we will be readily available to help. Our neighborhood is a river community that is quiet yet charming. A private setting that gives a peaceful getaway for our guests to enjoy. Our cabin sits on a 1/2 acre lot so there is room for up to 4 vehicles with RV hookups available. After hosting 100+ guests over the years on VRBO with a 4.9 Rating. Our cabin is part of a peaceful river community. Our neighbors enjoy nature and the outdoors just as much as we do. Please be respectful and considerate of their privacy by keeping noise to a minimum. We love our cabin and hope that you enjoy the simplicity and sounds of the river as much as we do.

Perfect cabin by the river

We celebrated our 22nd Anniversary at this beautiful cabin! It was perfect and we enjoyed the river running through the backyard. Cabin was very clean. Great location from town. Can’t wait to come back and enjoy this place again.

Awesome Place!

The location was great! Very peaceful right on the river and a short drive to downtown. Kaleb provided great tips to the area and responded quickly when contacted. We definitely want to stay here again!

Great cozy cabin

We really enjoyed staying at this cozy cabin by the river. It was great to come back each night, light a fire to warm up, and make dinner. Kids loved having their own "tiny house" to stay in. Everything was comfortable and as described.

Wedding cabin weekend!

We had an amazing stay during our time in Durango! The cabin was super cute and we had everything we needed there. The river in the backyard is absolutely amazing and so relaxing! About 25 min from town and not a bad drive. I definitely recommend staying there for a getaway if you’re in Durango!

Beautiful Cabin

Great location, the scenery getting to the cabin was breathtaking. Quiet and quaint. My kiddos loved all the games and toys. Everything thing you need for a nice getaway. We all enjoyed ourselves. Thank you for letting us share your home.

Another wonderful stay.

I believe this was our 6th or 7th stay at this beautiful little cabin. Everything about it works for our family. The location is beautiful and quiet, our girls love to have their own space out in the outer bedroom. The owners are terrific communicators and the check in process goes smoothly. It is a place for our family to be able to relax, enjoy the outdoors and just enjoy being together. We look forward to another summer visit.

River Rush

All I hoped it would be. Had been looking forward to our visit the entire winter and did not disappoint. Spent each morning with my coffee out looking at the sunshine on the rushing water. Being greeted by an ouzel, crane or duck flying the river. A momma duck with 8 babies swimming upstream near the shore was a treat! They all fought the rapids and made it to the destination. Bed was comfortable and just the right amount of bedding to keep window cracked to hear the water. Instant hot water for shower :- Was a great getaway to relax.

Beautiful location

We had a very cozy stay at this cabin. The location is stunning - being able to sit out by the river was fantastic. The house inside was very comfortable overall, with most of the amenities you would expect and games to play as a family. It has a few quirks but nothing that impacted our overall experience there. We had the space we need and were able to prepare meals comfortably. We would come again!

Amazing place

What a special place! From the moment we entered we felt welcomed and at home. We were Greeted with a huge basket of snacks and fresh cookies. (It's the little extra things that really show how much the property owner cares! The place was immaculately clean and so cozy! There was nothing we did not have and it was beautiful!.

We enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable. Kind of weird that washer/dryer was in the bedroom. The washer needs to be cleaned or aired out. Otherwise everything was great.

Lovely stay

The location of this cabin is pretty amazing. It sits right on the river and it’s beautiful. The cabin is very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Getaway

We had a wonderful time staying along the river. The house is nicely appointed with plenty of games @ puzzles for our one rainy day. Fish were caught, meals were shared and relaxation was had in abundance. We’ll definitely return for a longer stay.

Sitting by the river was awesome! But in order to go out the kitchen door to the deck we had to go outside the cabin around and use a key to unlock the door so we could open it, the keypad on that door does not work. There were weeds and dandelions all over the yard nothing was really groomed the deck was dirty the coals for the little grill wouldn't light, no matches or lighter to light it. We bought new fluid, coals and lighter that we brought home with us. The bathroom lights flickered most the time. I'd like to believe it was clean, but after taking the pillow cases off, I was disappointed to see a blood stain on one pillows and the others were questionable. Nice location from Durango. Easy to find. Bed was fairly comfortable. We've stayed in better maintained homes and cabins. Sorry to disappoint you but I feel this quaint little cabin could use some love. Thank you,Darla

Peaceful Getaway

This is the third year in a row I’ve stayed at this cabin. The first year was just to visit Durango then I started riding in the Iron Horse bike race. I plan on staying at this place every year moving forward. The creek behind the place is awesome and it’s only twenty minutes or so from Durango.
