Log home with great views close to town and ski resort

3 level log home , Watch the Durango & Silverton train go by, look north to the needles mountains, open floor plan with large kitchen with bar seating three, dining ,living area, with large windows, and outdoor decks. Tv room, 20min. To ski area, 7mi. To town. Just off hwy550 . There are two queen beds in separate rooms. Master is on the upper loft level with the second queen on the lower level ( very private) and two bunk beds with full beds on the bases and twin uppers. One of these bunk beds has a twin trundle underneath. These two bunk bed rooms are separated by a full bathroom. Summer months offer plenty of open 10 x 42 deck space with natural gas Weber grille, patio furniture includes table that seats six, lounge area with swivel rockers and couch. Entrance to the home is from the lower parking area up the log stairs on the north side to the 8 x 44 covered porch. Winter is no problem with the in-floor heating system on all levels. Back yard is fenced for up to two medium sized dogs.

Beautiful home

We love staying in this home. It was very beautiful and clean, and it had all of the extra amenities that we needed as far as extra blankets and pillows. The kitchen was fully stocked and was nice to cook in.

We came for a baseball tournament and this place was just perfect for our two families. The kids had a blast when we were there and the adults were able to relax. Great place!

Amazing Home and Perfect Location

We had an amazing stay during Christmas! Close to town and skiing. The kids loved hearing the train go by each day. Kitchen was perfect and enough space for everyone to get time to themselves if needed. Highly recommend!

Durango reunion

Great location with proximity to town as well as to all the attractions North on the highway to Silverton. The house was nicer than expected as the pictures don't do it justice. Great views of the sunset at night while sitting on the deck.

Annual Family Getaway

It is always a challenge to find a house to accommodate four generations for our annual get together. This house was perfect! Eric was very easy to communicate with both prior to our arrival and during our stay. He even let us use his children’s sleigh for our little people to ride down the hill by the house. The house was very clean and provided everything we needed for our stay. Five stars across the board. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Amazing mountain vacation home!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. The location was convenient to town but it still felt like a true mountain vacation. The house is stunning and had everything we needed and more. The view from the deck is gorgeous and it was so fun to see the trains go by. Everyone in our family from Grandpa down to our littlest one loved every minute we spent here and along with our Polar Express train ride, made this Thanksgiving our most memorable and magical ever! The owner was very welcoming and easy to communicate with, and he went above and beyond to help us out.

Wonderful Vacation!

We so enjoyed our time in Durango! The cabin was perfect for us! Eric and Dwight were so welcoming, we felt right home. Communication was very good and timely. We were even gifted with bounty from the garden. We like to cook and were so pleased with how well the kitchen was stocked with everything we could need. Amazing Property and Owner

Our family of 5 stayed at this beautiful property. It had a well-equipped kitchen and wonderful amenities. The view from the balcony was gorgeous and so peaceful. The location was perfect, everything we did in Durango was within 10 minutes. We were also blessed to get to know the owner, who was always available to answer a question. We will be back! This property is top notch! The owners were exceptional as far as communication and made us all feel very welcome. The cabin was clean, had everything we needed, location was perfect, close to Durango, Purgatory, and the hot springs. Wish we could have stayed longer although we will be back. An Incredible Find in Durango

This home is Absolutely perfect for a large group. Was out in Durango for my son’s wedding. Easily slept 10 at this house. Beds were incredibly comfy. House had so much charm. Close to downtown Durango but far enough away to have great views and quiet. The host was outstanding. Just a friendly and available guy. Highly recommend renting this house in Durango. You will be happy you did.

Comfortable and Accessible to town

Eric, the owner’s son, was fantastic. He even brought us apricots and zucchini during our stay. The home is reasonably priced compared to others in the area and it’s absolutely beautifully appointed with tasteful, high quality furniture, knick knacks, paintings, etc. throughout. No skimping whatsoever. Even a piano! The location is just a few minutes to downtown Durango and convenient to indoor and outdoor activities. Really cannot say enough positive things about our stay.
