"The facilities need work, there are broken tiles in the pools, along with leaves and debris. Only one of the two saunas were open and some of the pools were empty, others the water looked disgusting and no one was going in them. We ordered dinner and waited over 20 minutes for our drinks and then had to ask for them to be served. The room was nice but had a moldy smell. Not a great stay at all."

"Pool was dirty, beds are old and uncomfortable. It's just a very run down hotel. The staff in the restaurant and lovely but staff on the dock were rude and unfriendly. We booked for three nights and only stayed one night due to poor maintenance of the facilities. The dock is very cool and the views but that was it. We were so disappointed. So much potential here. "

"The hotel looks good, but it was mostly just an aesthetic place. My room was huge and the bed was very comfortable. The WiFi was really bad, the hot water in the shower was lukewarm at best, and I had a big beautiful porch with no furniture outside. The restaurant staff ignored me until another guest asked them to give me service. The views were phenomenal. "

"A true gem tucked away. Clean, updated rooms with cozy amenities. Friendly staff helped us with in town suggestions and booking local tours/transportation. Breakfast is included with numerous tasty options so don't miss out while overlooking a volcano in the distant. "

"Mixed feelings about this stay. The property and room are beautiful, but the experience felt disappointing for the price. We didn’t know the restaurant is closed on Mondays, which was difficult because the property is quite remote and we had delayed picking up our rental car, assuming we could dine there. The owner messaged beforehand asking if we’d like to eat dinner there, but when I asked to reserve a table I was told the restaurant would actually be closed that day and will only serve drinks for the night. He did offer to help arrange food or give us a ride, which I appreciated, but we ended up walking to the restaurant ourselves. When we returned around 8 pm the property was completely dark and the restaurant was closed and we ran out of drinking water at this point. For such a beautiful property, it would be nice if the outdoor area stayed accessible with lights or seating for guests in the evening. The room also lacked some basic amenities (no mini fridge, no drinking water, and all lights on one switch which made the room very bright at night). The curtains also didn’t fully cover the window, which affected privacy. Breakfast the next morning was excellent and the chef explaining the dishes was a lovely touch. But at checkout the staff inspected towels and blankets in front of us for stains, which felt unusual and uncomfortable. Overall, a lovely property but the guest experience could be improved."
