Great Place!
This was a great place to stay. Sandy and Nick were great communicators, and quick with their responses. It was just like the listing and the sunsets were beautiful on the lake. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic Northwoods get a way
This was our first VRBO stay and it was a game changer. Our group enjoyed the great kitchen layout to cook meals and visit at the gorgeous kitchen table. Kids loved the outdoor space and amenities in the garage to play. Rooms were spacious and kids woke up saying it was their best sleep ever. The ability to visit with friends and our kids in a comfortable home setting ceated an atmosphere for a weekend we will all talk about for years to come. Thank you for having us.

Fantastic Family Getaway
Perfectly accommodated our extended family of 12. Enough space to move about the house. Spacious back yard to toss the football and play yard darts. Even caught a few fish on late season ice. Hosts were very responsive and accommodating.

2nd Time Just as Good as the 1st
Sandy and Nick are wonderful hosts who are willing to go above and beyond for their guests. They communicate openly about amenities that may not be available before your stay and work towards fixing them so that they are available during your stay. The property was clean, and it was nice to see how they have improved the property from our previous stay over 2 years ago. Overall, Sandy and Nick's Northern House will be a place that my group will put as top-of-the-list for future Eagle River adventures.

Extremely well kept place with lots of amenities
Enjoyed the house and having all amenities included was a bonus! Awesome place with a private dock was a plus for easy access to ice fish. Communication was excellent. My family and I enjoyed the table will maybe have to consider getting one!

So many extras! We loved staying here. Best vrbo we’ve stayed at! Beautiful views of Meta lake from kitchen and bedrooms. Everything has been beautifully updated. Snacks and chilled waters were a nice welcoming touch! We appreciated extra supplies like toilet paper, cleaning supplies, Saran Wrap, paper towel, etc. there was even a box of toothbrushes if you forgot yours. A lot of homes don’t provide those things. Highly recommend this property!!

What can I say about this place? We really loved our stay here. So beautiful with lake access. Private location. The personal touch of snacks and bottled water in the refrigerator was off the charts. Very clean. We will be with our husbands in the future.

Excellent house on the water
The house was just what we were looking for for a woman’s pool tournament. They had a nice little welcome snack package the bedrooms were awesome. We loved the kitchen table. If I had any questions they answered them with in 15 minutes which was great.

Girls Weekend.
Each year my friends and I pick a place and stay. This house was amazing! Had everything we needed and more. The outside fire pit was lovely and they had plenty of water sports to play with. The house was cozy, the table was big enough for everyone, and the beds were so comfortable!! We will definitely be coming back!

Great Northwoods trip!
We can't say enough about this property and Nick and Sandy. They were the perfect hosts. The home was immaculate and it literally had EVERYTHING you could possibly need. Close to town but yet it is on a private lake so you feel like you are in your own little slice of heaven. We and our family had a fantastic time and we will definitely return! House was equipped with everything you would need. Lake was great, very shallow so it was warm for swimming. The kayaks, paddle boards and small boat were fun. Beautiful sunsets. Full disclosure: lots of steps in trilevel home so may not be ideal for people with mobility issues. Overall it was a wonderful place. Sandy and Nick were great to work with.

Nice Spot
New owner Nick is a quality guy. Kim property manager is attentive. Property was nicely appointed and had everything we needed. Launched a 28' pontoon at the private launch w/truck and worked out OK, despite sinking in the sand quite a bit. Smaller boats will have no problem. Glass like lake almost every day with enough room on the lake to ski/tube. Launched on the chain 200 yards away one day for a change of pace. Caught 50+ panfish and hand a nice fish fry. Used the neighbors fish house to filet everything, which was kind of them. Would stay again.

Beutiful, clean place in Eagle River!
We enjoyed our stay at this warm, clean, cozy home. Everything positive about this stay, but would recommend getting a humidifier, it's very dry in the house. As well as hopefully they get a letter better game plan for snowmobilers, had to drive a little ways on road to get to the trail, otherwise awesome!

It is hard to find a property that has lake frontage and frontage on the snowmobile trails. Please come back and visit us during the summer and you will see why we opted for the lake frontage. This property was beautiful and exceeded our expectations. Perfect quiet location for a relaxing fall getaway. We could not have asked for a better weekend with the beautiful fall weather! House was clean and beds were comfortable. Would definitely stay here again, however the property manager was difficult to get in touch with.

Enjoyed extended weekend stay. Appreciated 4th bedroom being isolated from other living areas. This allowed ability of infant to nap without having to worry about sound and allowed privacy for nursing mother. Plan on returning again. Small problem with drain clogged in upstairs bathtub and one element in water heater not working. Issues reported to owner/manager to remediate before next renters arrive.

The house was nice and well equipped. Beds were comfortable - both the mattresses and sheets. The lake was beautiful - peaceful and relaxing. Nice fire pit with wood included. Loved the extras - kayaks and boat were included. Only possible negative - there are steps throughout the house. Not an issue for our group but could be an issue for families with small children or less mobile folks.

Cheryl We are happy you had a great time at the house. Unfortunately we are bound by the original design and that includes two small sets of stairs for interior circulation. We are one of the few rentals that has on grade level access with a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and and living area accessible. That area is great for the family members that are challenged with stairs. We also have a level approach to the lake with no stairs. We hope to serve you and your family again next year. We also have great access to the snowmobile trails and sled rentals are available.

Everything you could need in one spot. A place to entertain, relax with family, enjoy the lake, and watch the Bucks win the NBA Championship! Love Meta Lake (have been coming to this lake for 37 years), and this is a fantastic resort!

Wonderful family vacation destination
My family of 8, from elderly great grandparents to their 3 month old great grandson, with two generations in between, had an amazing experience at this Eagle River rental. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Taylor is a wonderful hostess and great communicator. The owner, Bob, was also very pleasant and gave me a quick refresher on operating the outboard motor on the small rowboat, which we used every day and was a nice added bonus. We also paddle boarded, kayaked, fished, and had a campfire every day. The lake is private and not crowded. The property is also convenient to Eagle River and groceries just 10 minutes away. Overall, it was a such a fantastic vacation and I would highly recommend this Eagle River property to future guests and I would love to stay there again!

Home was fantastic! Lake Meta beautiful! Lovely sand beach, comfortable outdoor chairs, perfect amenities. Only two issues with our stay...we were only supplied with four bath towels and two face towels for our six person family, so had to wash towels daily and found two bats in guest room last night we were there. My husband was able to get them out of the house, but the issue was when I tried to contact mgt company the next morning, again that afternoon and the next day to warn of this issue, I received no communication! I called the mgt company the second day after checkout and was able to reach Taylor and she said she did receive my messages and had made the owner aware of this. Would have been nice to have a communication with mgt company alot sooner!

Carol, Thank you for staying with us. I am sorry about the shortage of towels. It is our standard to leave 6 additional towels in the hall linen closet. I am not sure if you checked there or if the cleaning crew had missed them. With regards to the bats this is the first time we have every had any problems with pest. We do regular treatments to ensure the properties integrity. All the windows and sliding doors have full screens. I verified the chimney cap and the fire place and there was no access point. We just remodeled the property last year and there are no access points other than the doors. We do have bats and frogs in the woods and on the property. The saving grace is they eat a lot of mosquitos. The other side is they are scary. We are very sorry for the encounter and are doing everything we can to be sure this does not happen again. Thank you for your stay and to let you know we have beautiful autumn colors at lower rates in the fall.

Overall we are very happy with our stay on Meta Lake. We very much appreciated the kayaks and the numerous yard games. The home is a part of a small Lodge I believe with four other cabins on the property. We did not know this going into our reservation; however for us it was not an issue. The home does have its own private fire pit and pier. There is not air conditioning but there are numerous window and box fans. The kids were able to catch bluegill and small bass off the dock and a short boat ride produced some fantastic crappie and bass fishing! We would stay at this location again and would recommend it to others!

Loved our stay. The best part was the location and all of the amenities; kayaks, paddle boards, dock, fire pit, board games and a well stocked kitchen! Lots of room for a family of five. It was quiet, and even though there are neighbors, we never felt crowded.

Our family had a great time relaxing at this beautiful home. The kayaks were a huge hit and our 4 year old fished all day off the private dock. We did all are grocery shopping when we arrived since Eagle River is very close. Also, went into town to a ice cream shop (peanuts). Bait store very close by too!!!

We had a nice relaxing time here. The house accommodated two families, three children total perfectly. The kids (and adults) loved all the amenities that came w the house rental ie, little beach by the lake, lilypad was a hit, paddle boards, kayaks and beautiful bonfire area. Kitchen (2 kitchens actually) were stocked w pretty much everything we needed appliance wise. Could use more cutting boards. We had to buy more towels because there are no beach towels there. We left them so there should more now :) Overall we had a great time and would recommend.

Weekend getaway
A group of couples/friends needed a long weekend getaway and we found this property and booked immediately! The amenities were fantastic, the lake was awesome, and the house was so nice!! We will be booking again because of how much we enjoyed this rental! Highly recommend!!
