"Great hotel in a fantastic location in nature but not far from the beaches. The view is amazing and palm trees with monkeys jumping around is just beautiful. The infinity pool offers nice views and and the hotel area is small. The food was excellent. The chef was very helpful in finding gluten free options and the food was delicious. Highly recommend a stop at this place. "

"Property is a nice place. The service was very slow and bad. Checked in and was told there is a power failure, power will be up in 20mins and after an hour, power is not up yet. Checked in the room for stay with my sister, was only given one bath towel in the room. There is no amenity (shower gel n shampoo) TOP up on day 2. "We had originally booked South Point Cottage but didn’t end up staying there – the owner has a few properties and we were placed at South Point Abbey instead. The Abbey is a gorgeous old colonial villa right on the ocean, with four big bedrooms that could easily fit two families. The walls are built from coral stone, there’s a lovely pool, and you have direct access straight onto the beach. The staff were fantastic – they took care of everything and cooked the most amazing Sri Lankan breakfasts, plus some western dishes for the kids which they loved. The whole place felt calm, spacious and very serene. A special mention to the manager, Gamini – such a kind and gentle man who gave us great tips on what to see and do nearby. We’d definitely recommend this beautiful spot to anyone looking for a relaxing stay."
