Hotel Dushore

"Went to check-in at Dushore hotel. Very clean and neat. Lots of pillows on the lovely queen bed. The hotel was easy to find and our room was huge!! However, the staff person was very nice but did not know English. Therefore our questions could not be answered. Got back to the hotel at 8:30pm and it was " closed". There was info on the desk. If we had a question we were to call a regular line to talk with a person. In our room we couldn't watch the TV. The remote was missing and we couldnt find it anywhere. We didn't want to call at 9pm to complain. Also, it was very eerie in that hotel. We were the ONLY PERSONS in the building. There were no cars in the parking or another else near the hotel. Very eerie and dangerous. We were not happy at the dushore hotel. The next day there was a front desk employee that was polite but again, she didn't know English. We left the hotel with NO RECEIPT. The girl DID help with our suitcases."

"The house was well maintained, host provided k-cups and creamer for the keurig, cearal and milk. The house was close to Ricketts Glen Park and local restaurants. The only issue I had is with the neighbors across the street burning garbage. That is a smell that lingers. Unfortunately the property across the street is an eyesore to staying at this place."

"The property was immaculate. Check in was very easy. The outside fire ring and chairs surrounding were very cozy. We did not use the twin beds, but we slept on the queen bed, and that was probably one of the best mattresses I have ever slept on. We were only staying for a couple days, but we had everything we needed, coffee pot, toaster, microwave, dishes, pots and pans, the living room was very cozy. Nice covered front porch, adequate outside lighting. The heating system was very easy to use. I will tell you, when they say that it is a secluded cabin be prepared to be secluded! You have a fairly long road to get to the driveway, then a fairly long driveway to get to the cabin. If you're looking for seclusion and to get away, this is your place. 15 minutes from World's end, couldn't be happier, trying to figure out when we can rebook again.Also... there is a lot of open property in front of the cabin. If you turn off all the lights, you can see a million stars! There were a lot of trees, so couldn't see through them but the Open Sky area is, tons of stars. So if you were there in the spring before all the leaves came on, or here in the fall after all the leaves fell it is absolutely beautiful."

"The property was awesome on the inside. The outside needed attention. The glass table had not been cleaned in a long time. And there were some very large spiderwebs in places. Other than that everything was great! I would also suggest bringing your own drinking water and T.P. as we ran out of both that was supplied to us. I would definitely recommend it as one of my favorite stays!"

"We loved our stay! The house is perfect. Quiet, comfortable, home away from home feel. We loved being out on the deck watching the many deer walking thru the yard. Morning coffe and evening tea out there too. We enjoyed playing UNO and Yatzee in the evenings which were provided by host. We are a multi-generation family and this house fit our needs perfectly and everyone was happy. We hope to be back in the future! Thank you!"
