Hideaway at Highland Lake is a special lake-front home located on Highland Lake in Andover, NH. This property offers year-round adventures with its stunning views and over 250 feet of gentle waterfront. Spanning 3.5 acres, the property also includes woodlands, creating a park-like setting on the spring-fed Highland Lake, a hidden gem in the Lakes region of NH.
Guests can enjoy direct access to the lake and a natural shoreline from the large private dock (season permitting), perfect for boating, kayaking, paddleboarding, or fishing. For outdoor enthusiasts, the property is conveniently located just steps away from the Northern Rail Trail, ideal for biking, running, and walking.
The welcoming home has been completely refurbished with new furnishings. It features a large eat-in kitchen, dining room, three full bathrooms, four bedrooms, a spacious living room with a wood-burning fireplace, and a stunning finished basement with a kitchenette, offering plenty of space for movie or game nights.
The bedrooms consist of a king bed, queen bed, full-over-full bunk bed with a twin trundle bed, and a twin day bed with a twin trundle bed. From the living room, guests can access the outdoor deck, which provides ample seating for outdoor dining. Additionally, there is an oversized gas grill and charcoal grill available.
For those seeking more outdoor space, the property offers a large lawn for games and summer fun. The gazebo and large patio are perfect for enjoying cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and catching fireflies. A short walk down the hill from the gazebo leads to the water's edge, where guests can enjoy a very shallow entry, ideal for swimming. If a sandy beach is preferred, the town beach is just a ten-minute walk down the rail trail.
During the winter season, guests can enjoy ice fishing on Highland Lake, downhill skiing at Mt. Sunapee and Ragged Mountain, as well as limitless opportunities for local snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.
The home is equipped with new central air conditioning and a whole home generator.
