Set back on a grassy knoll overlooking the water, this 3BR/2BA Boothbay Harbor home offers a truly tranquil vacation retreat. Drive minutes to restaurants, hiking trails, whale watching, and the quaint fishing village of Boothbay Harbor. Sleeps 10.
INSIDE THE HOUSE
After arriving in this leafy neighborhood overlooking the water, pull up outside the house on a driveway with parking space for 4. A dark wood walkway leads up to the front door.
As you step inside, turn right into the main living room – an open-concept space with hardwood floors and lots of natural light. There's seating for 6 on a charcoal gray couch and sofa chair. After a day of coastal adventures, curl up for the evening in front of a 40” flat-screen TV.
Next to the living area, a dining area with a glass top table seats 6. From here, gain access to a wrap-around back deck with a BBQ grill and outdoor seating overlooking the trees.
Next to the dining table, an open kitchen makes it easy to chat with the group while prepping meals. Find plenty of appliances close to hand, including an electric stove-oven combo, microwave, and dishwasher. In the mornings, fire up the coffee maker or whizz up fruit smoothies in the kitchen blender.
A hallway off the living area leads to a bathroom with a single-sink vanity and shower/tub combo.
Further along, you'll find the primary bedroom, furnished with a queen bed and 32” TV.
Next door, a snug 2nd living room offers an extra hang-out space with an L-shaped couch and 42” TV with cable.
The remaining bedrooms are located upstairs. On the left of the stairs, a bedroom has 2 queen beds, while the 3rd bedroom comes with a queen bed and two twin beds.
Both bedrooms also share access to a bathroom with a shower/tub combination.

The house was clean and warm and had everything we needed. The location was beautiful and close to a great restaurant, little general store, and spectacular ocean front walk.
We had a wonderful time at this cottage. Ocean Point was close for exploring the coast, the Boothbay area had plenty of great restaurants and the deck was great for coffee in the morning. We appreciated on site laundry and two full bathrooms as well. We had a great weekend and hope to be back.
Our large family stayed while visiting Boothbay. The house was very comfortable and clean. Beds were good and the room setup worked great for us.
It was a nice peaceful area and easy drive to downtown.
My family had a lovely visit in August. We enjoyed the close proximity to the restaurants and shops in Southwest Harbor and hiking the nearby Ship Harbor Trail. We also enjoyed looking at the stars snd watching the crabs on the beach at night. The cottage had plenty of AC for the warmer days, and enough cozy space for our family of four.

Peaceful Retreat
Northeast Harbor is about 20 minutes drive to all the places we wanted to go in Acadia and provided a great place to unwind after long days of hiking. Great location, quiet street, excellent food and coffee just downstairs. We were also pleasantly surprised to discover that we were just minutes from our Acadia cruise!
We have girls weekend every year and have picked this place to stay several times when we stay in Boothbay Harbor. We are never disappointed
Always clean and tidy and the appropriate people are always texting to make sure we are happy or answer any questions we have...another great girls weekend with a great place to stay.

Perfect!
We had a fantastic stay at the Birdhouse. There was plenty of space for our family of 4. The area was quiet and we loved the private access to the beach! We could easily access Acadia National Park and even found some hikes just a few minutes away. The house was clean and comfortable. We got to meet and chat with the owners, who are lovely people. Would highly recommend this place!

Southwest Harbor Gem
The home was clean and quiet. Additionally, the amenities-washer/dryer, outdoor deck, extra towels, adequate kitchen supplies(pots, pans and dishware) make a long stay enjoyable.
The location is perfect for exploring Acadia National Park and the Maine coast. The quiet side is picturesque with much to do. A wonderful time was had by all.
This house is beautifully located in a quiet neighborhood. The small motel across the street did not impact us at all. Sunset over the water behind it was beautiful! Loved the two living areas and open kitchen for our group of six women, also the large deck. The beds were very comfortable and kitchen well supplied, though did have to pick up napkins and coffee filters. The General Store up the road had delicious breakfast and lunch food! Hope to return again

Perfect vacation week
Badger Den comfortably housed 3 generations. House was clean, kitchen well equipped, and had an amazingly large yard, fun for yard games. The new deck is beautifully built. We appreciated the hard work that must have gone into creating such a wonderful space. We used it every day, and loved the peek-a-boo ocean view. We biked, walked, enjoyed sunsets, lobsters, the trolls at botanical garden. Thanks for a great week!
Place was clean. We each had our own rooms. Had everything we needed and then some. 2nd floor tub backs up a bit. Could use a mat in front of sliders to deck. Handle on freezer comes off occasionally. Otherwise overall a great place to stay. Loved the place. Beautiful sunsets down one end of the street and Hannaford supermarket down the other end. Great location.

Beautiful home in nice location
We enjoyed our stay here as we spent the days exploring Acadia. It was nice to come back to SW Harbor where it was quieter than Bar Harbor. This place is located next to the Claremont Hotel which was super convenient for getting a delicious meal one evening. They also have a coffee shop/bakery. The one downside being next door to this hotel was that their laundry facility was directly behind our bedroom and they had outdoor security lights on all night that shone into the bedroom. I think if there were room darkening curtains that would be really helpful. Otherwise the place was very clean and it was a comfortable bed (good for my back issues). Nice to have a full kitchen for making breakfast in the morning.

Beautiful Fall Escape
The Bird House is a lovely, peaceful cottage nestled among the trees with water view glimpses just a few steps away from the beautiful beach path of the rocky harbor. It accommodated a family of four comfortably. The inside was clean with updated bedroom furniture and updated bathrooms. The whole place felt bright and welcoming with a coastal vibe of hand-picked decorative artwork and furnishings. The cottage can be warm and cozy perfect for cooler weather or open and breezy to take advantage of warmer days. Shops, dining, bakery, and even the post office were all within walking distance. The local market was just a short drive for us to dine in among the tree tops on the porch. Our family is looking forward to planning a future adventure with family friends in one of the larger homes, so we can gather together.

Attention to detail.
The first thing we noticed is how clean this house was. Everything shined and nothing smelled moldy including the basement. Beautifully maintained house with a large deck overlooking the ocean across the street. Plenty of amenities including paper towels, games (including cards) and a Weber grill. Beds and pillows didn't receive and complaints. It's about 10 minutes from downtown Boothbay. We did have some problems connecting to internet at the location so it might be smart to screenshot the access information.

Great vacation home in Acadia.
We loved our 3-day stay in this home. Close to the national park and in a quieter neighborhood. Would definitely recommend it.
