About this property
The Greenstone House in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom!
This home is a charming, minimalist style colonial that has been completely renovated from top-to-bottom. You’ll be in an ideal location; just 2/10 mile to the Vermont Association of Snow Travelers trail system (VAST); 1.2 miles to the well-known Kingdom Trails providing a mountain biking network of over 85 miles of single and doubletrack; 10 minutes to Burke Mountain Ski & Bike Park; 10 minutes Dashney Nordic Center; 15 minutes to Mount Pisgah; and beautiful 1,653 acre Lake Willoughby. We hope that you find our home to be a place where you can unwind and allow time to do the things you love. You will be welcomed by a large, wrap-around porch, including outdoor seating; a propane gas grill; and a deck-mounted bike stand for tinkering and adjustments. The main floor has an open-floor plan; purposefully designed to include an entertaining space with a propane fireplace and Smart TV, adjoining a fully equipped kitchen with all new appliances. Every detail has been considered to make the cooking and gathering experience enjoyable. In addition, the first level contains a dining room area with seating for 6; as well as a bathroom with walk-in shower. There are 3 bedrooms; an additional full bath with clawfoot tub; and washer/dryer located upstairs. The master bedroom contains a California king-size bed. Bedroom 2 includes a queen-size bed. In Bedroom 3, you will find a twin trundle for sleeping flexibility (totaling sleeping spaces for 6 people in all). All mattresses and bedding are new. Radiant Heating throughout the top and bottom floors of house. Towels, a hair dryer, and basic toiletries are provided. Our property is located on 11 acres which you are welcome to explore, although the forest can be dense at certain times of the year. My favorite part of the outdoor landscape is our 4-person, adult seesaw. This can truly be quite hysterical while in the company of friends. The wood burning firepit is large; and seems to complement the Vermont star-gazing experience. There is room to park up to 3 cars: with reliable plowing and automatic lights for security and comfort. Other things to note: Because we take pride in providing a clean and comfortable experience, we do not allow pets for rentals at this time. My husband and I want you to have the best experience possible. We are committed to being responsive and reachable during your stay. Please do not hesitate to reach out at any time.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful, clean, and cozy. We loved how close it was to the Kingdom Trails. We would definitely return!
We have stayed at many places in East and west Burke and we loved this place. Very clean, heated floors amazing claw tub, comfortable beds. They really thought of everything. We felt completely at home. We will definitely be back!
Amazing property! The kids loved the 4 person seesaw. Everything inside was so comfortable, we all slept so well. I loved cooking in the kitchen and relaxing outside in the rocking chairs. The water pressure in the shower was a dream come true after the hot sticky days. Everything about this place was lovely!
My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Greenstone House. The house is gorgeous, has all the amenities we needed, and is a short drive to Burke Mtn. Andrea was a great host and was proactive about making sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely return!
5 of us came to E Burke for the Fall Festival & see family from ME & VT. The house was a perfect location, close enough but not in town. Very neat & clean. All bedrooms are upstairs & stairs are a bit steep (if you have mobility issues). But lovely in every other way. Comfortable beds & couches. Kitchen & bathrooms were well appointed. Andrea our host was very gracious.
We stayed at Greenstone House this weekend to be nearby for a family reunion. Me, my husband, sister and her husband are all seniors and we found this home to be very clean and comfortable. The air conditioners kept us cool, the beds and bedding were very comfortable and everything we needed was available for our use. The house has been totally renovated in a style I would call vintage-modern...with farmhouse/antique features yet modern conveniences. The owners were quick to respond and very kind and friendly. I wish all my renting experiences were as easy and nice as this one. We are very happy customers.
