Timber Frame Guest Home

Our Timber Frame Guest home is beautifully hand crafted from Alaska Sitka Spruce wood. It is completely furnished for your comfort with many custom made pieces of furniture - bedroom sets, doors, kitchen cabinets, just to name a few. It is two stories with 2 bedrooms on lower level and living space on upper floor to take advantage of some of Glacier Park peak views and the beauty of the timber frame construction. There is a covered deck off of the living room that has a large gas grill, table and chairs. There is a lower deck off of the main bedroom to relax on too. The main bath is large, outfitted with double sink vanity, extra large soaking tub - no jets, and a separate shower. The kitchen is fully equipped with large gas stove, large refrigerator, small island, and lots of counter space. Living room has a gas fireplace, Smart TV (NO cable service but DVD player) and stereo (no radio reception but CD player), There is a separate laundry room with washer and dryer and utility sink for your use during your stay.

The home is located in a very quiet area of town on the edge of an aspen grove and field of wild flowers. It is one block off the main road through town and is easy walking distance to a variety of services and shops - restaurants, antiques, art galleries, golf, horseback riding, groceries, car rentals, AmTrak train station (summer season only), and shuttle services to all hiking trails and lodges within Glacier National Park.

The Guest Home shares a very large yard with our other VRBO rental property listing #169524 making it an ideal place to vacation together with larger groups or multiple families. There are a variety of yard games to enjoy - badminton, volleyball, croquet, etc, and 4 townie type single speed bicycles to cruise around town on.

It can also be a great winter get away if you like to cross country ski, back country skiing and snowboarding. Essex is a 1/2 hour drive that offers miles of groomed xc ski trails - classic and skate.

We are in a great location to come and explore the beauty and wonder of Glacier National Park with the ease, comforts, and services of a small town outside your front door.

We ask for a 3 day minimum stay and a maximum stay of 2 weeks.

This property is an excellent choice. I would plan to stay here over & over again. It is in a great location, within walking distance to food trucks & general store. Marty is so nice & gracious. He will tell you anything you need to know about the area, where to go, what to do, how to get there, etc. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!

Such an amazing place- wish we were staying longer! Beds are comfy, place is spacious and clean. Of all the places we’ve stayed, this one had the most essentials, cookware, dishes, etc. Marty, the property manager was very friendly and helpful. Great food carts just a block away. Easy access to east side of Glacier NP.

The best VRBO experience and property ever! The property is beautiful and stocked with top quality kitchen items, furniture, and is thoughtfully decorated. Everything is high quality and rarely do I think a property is "clean", but this one is white glove clean! I really like the no shoes policy too, as I do that in my home. Very close to everything on the Eastside of GNP, with my personal favorite of the two medicine area being just minutes away. The host and Marty promptly responded to my inquiries and requests. They were also extremely flexible and understanding regarding the impacts of the government shutdown and construction that led us needing to shorten our stay. A!

Perfect location!

Absolutely perfect location for visiting GNP. Marty, the property manager, is super-nice, very friendly and knowledgeable, and the locals were so welcoming. The house is homey and comfortable (with a great art collection!) and if you want the best breakfast go to Two Medicine Grille. And take the opportunity to visit Canada, it’s about an hour away :)

We really enjoyed our stay at this wood framed house, very clean and comfortable, large windows to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, full stocked kitchen and thoughtful gadgets such as clothes drying racks. We would definitely want to stay here again!

Great Family getaway

We really enjoyed our stay. Our boys were able to play outside in the yard with the different outdoor sporting gear they had. It was an easy check in and Marty was very helpful in showing us where everything was. We would highly recommend staying here!

Excellent Cabin and Location!

Great location for visiting East Glacier National Park. Beautiful cabin. Big kitchen for preparing meals. Also used the gas grill on the deck. Lots of space to relax. Highly recommend!

My son and his friend stayed at the Timber Frame Guest Home, and they absolutely loved the property—inside & out, and the hospitality. Colleen is fantastic to deal with remotely…and Marty is exceptional on-site. This is a well-laid out home within close proximity to the Park. We will definitely try to make a visit again. Loved it again

Marty is a fantastic on site caretaker and gave us a suggestion where to go for ice cream on the free bikes when other place was closed. He maintains the place to perfection. The beds decor etc are all lovely. Great proximity wise to east glacier and two medicine. We enjoyed the badminton too. My family truly appreciates staying here.

Beautiful home in East Glacier Park Village. We travel a lot and stayed in many nice homes. This was our favorite. The architecture is a gorgeous Timber frame with a very well stocked kitchen perfect for a chef that we used to make several meals. We enjoyed how spacious and light-filled this home was, it's exceptional cleanliness, and tasteful southwestern touches. We soaked in the large tub, sipped wine at sunset on the back deck, relaxed watching movies late at night in the comfortable living room, enjoyed the comfortable beds, and made good use of the convenient mud room. Coffee and dining walked was conveniently less than a block away. Also, the owner was friendly and thought of everything (even handy bear spray).The on-site manager, Marty, is also a true gem, graciously greeting us, providing information, and making himself available if we needed anything. We felt so welcome in this comfortable home. We enjoyed cocktails at sunset just a few blocks away at the East Glacier Lodge, hikes and wildlife viewing (Mountain goats, bears, and Big Horn Sheep) along The Road to the Sun, a boat tour at Two Medicine Lake, a visit to The Plains Indian Museum, and going to the Prince of Wales Hotel in Waterton, Canada for lunch. This is truly the very best home we have stayed at in the past decade, the owner and manager are gracious and helpful, and the location fantastic in terms of convenience and being peaceful and relaxing. We will come back and plan to stay here again.

Awesome East Glacier Guest House

The absolute best appointed VRBO rental ever. Owners really care about you having everything you might need for your vacation, and they didn’t disappoint. Property manager on site was so nice. There if anything is needed but wouldn’t have known it as he wasn’t intrusive at all. Absolutely beautiful home. Highly recommend and we hope to stay there again on our next trip to East Glacier National Park. Thank you for the lovely stay!!!

Wonderful timber home with all the necessities

Spent 3 nights in this beautiful house. Everything needed was provided. There were trail maps and books for information about the surrounding areas. This was on top of the beautifully decorated, comfortable home. Marty, the property manager, was very helpful. I spoke to Colleen previous to our arrival and she could not have been more accommodating. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

Best Property in East Glacier!

Beautiful, well-maintained timberframe cottage in East Glacier. We loved everything about the place! It was very comfortable, with many amenities. The location was perfect for the hikes we had mapped out. Thank you to Colleen and to Marty, who is on-site and is a jack of all trades and a great story teller! We highly recommend staying here.
