This 2-bedroom house abutting the Goodspeed Airport to the east and the Connecticut River to the west is truly a unique experience—with a sweeping lawn down to the river on one side and a friendly GA community and airport on the other. Walk to the Goodspeed Opera House for a show, eat a meal at the Gelston House or borrow a 42B bike and ride a little further and grab a bite at Higher Grounds (they give pilots a discount!) Sign up for a ride with Goodspeed Seaplane, take out one of the house's kayaks to Chapman's Pond or just sit with a drink and watch the sun set.

Best location for us. Beautiful and set apart from tourist traffic. We enjoyed watching activities on the river or watching the airport activities from the front yard.The evenings were peaceful though with little to no airplane traffic. In the spacious backyard we enjoyed sitting by a fire in the cool evenings.The house was immaculately clean and homey. Fully equipped kitchen.

We had an amazing stay at this house with our family of five, including three small kids. The house was spotless, well-equipped, and exactly as described—quiet, cozy, and just steps from a peaceful beach off the Connecticut River. It was the ideal spot for us to relax and unwind.The kids loved having plenty of space to play, both inside and out and enjoy watching the planes take off on the front lawn. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches like games, kayaks, and a fully stocked kitchen that made meal times easy. The neighborhood was very quiet and safe, and we felt right at home the entire time.Sunrises and sunsets on the river were a daily highlight. Absolutely perfect. We saw bald eagles, turtles, water snakes, fish jumping out of the water, birds catching their dinner, a comet and its’ following meteor shower, and so much more! The beach area is a slice of paradise. I never book the same vacation twice, but east Haddam showed my family so much beauty- both in nature and in people- and Ann’s perfectly outfitted home was exactly the escape from reality my soul needed.

This is such a cool place. The house is on the CT River w/its own little beach. AND at the front of the house you can watch the planes land at the Goodspeed Airstrip. These are not loud airplanes but little private planes. The Opera House has plays/musicals and outdoor dining again on the CT River. The views are amazing. The house has a huge deck to relax in AM w/coffee and PM w/a glass of wine. This is a hidden gem.
