I loved the layout. I think for older folks, having the master bedroom downstairs would’ve been better, but still very nice. Ample kitchen space and seating.
Enjoyed the, beautiful view of the lake in the backyard. We got to see coach Izzo tie the Big Ten record! I’d stay at this home again, just a short ride into campus.
Great place, right on the lake. Spacious rooms and comfortable beds - nice bedrooms upstairs. A/C in every room, including upstairs. Plenty of space for our whole family to gather, play games, etc. The porch was great - lots of seating, and the weather was nice enough that we had a lot of our meals on the porch. Price included two kayaks - needed to fill out waiver to get the combo to unlock them (not a con - just be aware that you'll need to allow a little time to fill out the waivers, receive confirmation, and get the code). Nightstands on both sides of the bed was a plus. Really nice view of the sunset from the shore. Would happily stay here again!
The hosts were easy to contact and the house had a gorgeous view of the lake! The bedrooms/beds are very spacious and it fit 7 people very comfortably. Would definitely book again (a summer vacation would be phenomenal at the lake)
This place was the perfect place for the bridesmaids to get ready for my daughter's wedding. The main living area was big enough for hair and makeup. It was a great place for pictures and to relax after the wedding. The host was very responsive to making our stay comfortable.
Pros:
Location is great. The backyard is right on the lake with a cute little dock.
Very spacious.
Lots of amenities
Cons:
Very dirty
Found a leak under the sink in the upstairs bathroom that had been there for a while due to the mold and water damage.
My Mom and I stayed here for a short “get away,” and not only was everything in great shape, clean, and as stated in the listing, THE VIEW WAS AMAZING!! We stayed in early October, and the view looking through the trees to the lake and the wetlands around it was just stunning. We both agreed we’re coming back here again, it was everything we needed it to be to relax and recharge ourselves, but the peace and quiet in such a beautiful outdoor environment was worth every penny. We had a question which was answered timely by management, and the check in and out process was super easy. 9.5/10 will DEFINITELY be back!!
We rented this for a weekend in order to move my sister in law into her new apartment. The home was a great size and the kids loved the bean bags and games. Mom and dad loved the black out curtains. The check in/out process was very easy. The smart TV's were also very nice! Even though it was cold, we still got out to enjoy the view of the backyard. We will definitely book again when we are back to visit.
There were 8 of us on a bachelorette weekend. We had plenty of room to stretch out. The kitchen was nice, we used it a lot. They could use cookie sheets and a big pot but other than that the kitchen is adequate. There is a large walk space behind the couch and we had room to practice our line dancing. The area was very nice. Great place to stay, nothing to complain about.
Chairs at the table were dirty, dishes in cabinet were all dirty, fridge was dirty, not enough extra blankets for the beds, house was either super hot or cold and pull out bed needs some extra padding. Besides all that it was a great view, plenty of space, great location.

Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Place really needs updated.
Place really needs better cleaning. 1 extra trash bag. Febrezze smell in carpet and bean bag. Ice in refrigerator was dirty. Drafty windows. Kitchen was good. Shower head in shower needs replaced. Sprays water in all directions. Bathtub doesn't hold water.
It was a lovely property. Did some bbq. Did some kayaking. Great for making memories. Had a 1 yr ago old nephew and they had a high chair. They had a good selection of baking and grilling pans. Decent spices. The check in and communication could be improved. They communicated in 3 different phone numbers and website apart from vrbo. It was confusing what communication method to use but otherwise the views and sunsets were spectacular. Enjoyed the bonfire. Rooms had AC and comfortable. The dinner table was sufficient but for bigger groups can be bigger. Deck was great. Overall, great value!
Hi there! We don't have Ring doorbell at our house so maybe we don't understand the purpose. It made us feel like we were being listened to while we visiting the property. We understand maybe having one at the front door to protect the property but didn't like having one on the front deck where we were playing cards, visiting and talking with each other. It felt invasive and a little creepy. The rest of the house was nice, the beds were comfortable, there were plenty of towels, and the view was lovely. Thanks.
Great location. Plenty of A/C units to keep house cool. Kitchen was great except dishwasher was a bit confusing to get going. Outside was great! Deck and table/chairs and BBQ were A1. Plenty of lawn chairs and drink holders and firepit was perfect. Kayaks were lots of fun.
Couple of issues. Both outside trash cans were completely full on arrival. Facet handle in downstairs bathroom broke, still worked but kept falling off. Could use a new shower head in upstairs bathroom, old but it worked. Bed frames in master bedroom and bunkbed room squeaked a lot. Unfortunately there were no tools in the house to tight up the connections. Could have used a bigger dining room table, since the house is advertised for 10, there was only a small round table and 4 chairs. Overall it was a great week. Thanks!
