About this property

"Alte Schleiferei" Vacation Apartment

  • You’ll be staying at the Messer-Schleifers apartment—a lovingly designed oasis, cosy and featuring an indoor swing. This is a real treat for young and old alike. The master knife sharpener’s workshop is right next door. You can book a knife-sharpening workshop for €55.00… 1 hour… including a short tour of the workshop and the history of the sharpening business. The experience is rounded out with coffee and Upper Lusatian pastries. The Czech border is right in town. The Zittau Mountains… are just a 25-minute drive away, as are the Polish border and Trixipark (wellness centre). You also have good bus and train connections to Prague (2 hours), Dresden (1 hour)… and Saxon Switzerland (1.5 hours).
