"To celebrate my wife’s 70th birthday,a large place was needed for my children and grandchildren. All 17 of us picked a winner - The Jarvis Mansion! Nicely located for day trips to Acadia and Bar Harbor. We all welcomed the heated pool and hot tub after fun sightseeing days. Communication was easy with our hosts. There is no better place on earth to enjoy lobster dinners."

"House size and view were fantastic. It was isolated but yet still not far to restaurants or grocery. Only 30 min from Acadia and Bar Harbor. Downside was that it was not very clean and there was no hand towels in bathrooms to use. We also had to find a closet with towels and one of the beds was not made. So we had to find sheets and make ourselves. Finally it was listed there was a futon when really there was only a futon mattress so one of us slept on a floor on a very old futon mattress. I...

"We are familiar with the area and needed a place to stay while we did some work on our own property near by. The house is perfect and as described, we were all very comfortable. Perfect location close to adorable downtown Ellsworth and all of the beauty and nature you could want. A fantastic stay! "

Great stay!

"Nice and had thoughtful additions to make stay comfortable.Stove, microwave and a bigger size refrigerator and freezer was a nice addition. Coffee downstairs and a Keurig in the room. The bedroom does not have an air vent, but has a ceiling fan. I was worried we'd be hot in the summer,but ended up being cold. When we checked in we were even given information on where to see fireworks. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Acadia. There's restaurants nearby, a gas station and Walmart nearly across the street. Way less crowded than Bar Harbor! "
