After I mistakenly left my electric toothbrush behind, I promptly contacted the property to arrange to have it sent to me. They found it and said to use a UPS label which I could email to them and they would send it to me promptly. Did so the next day. UPS tracking then showed it was delayed leaving the hotel for unknown reasons.
After a week, I called the front desk to fond out what was going on. Terrible experience with rude, deceitful clerk who tried to cover up what had happened and who refused to give me information to talk with a manager. I eventually received the tracking information she promised (but would not disclose by phone) and it revealed that it was not given to UPS until five days later and that the box was "empty" because it was poorly packed and the toothbrush apparently fell out!
She then would not answer the phone when I called back! I tracked down the number for Holiday Inn Express corporate complaints and had to call them today to open a claim.
My general experience with Holiday Inn and IHG has been good to this point, but their hotel in Edinburg/McAllen Texas is a disgrace. Not only is their clerk incompetent, but she is also dishonest and deliberately deceptive.
There are two other Holiday Inns in that area--CHOOSE ANOTHER ONE and don't stay here!
