A great option at Edisto

Our group of 10 loved the house - particularly the screened porch, large kitchen, and proximity to the beach. The elevator was a great amenity for our group that spanned 4 generations!

We enjoyed our stay at Edisto Beach. House was comfortable and clean. We didn't use the elevator. Kitchen was well equipped. One bed was missing the top sheet. We stopped by rental office and they provided a set of sheets. Some sheets didn"t fit the beds well (not deep enough). Easy check in and check out. Island was quiet. We did day trips to Savannah, Charleston, and Beaufort.

Vacation in Edisto at 807 Cheehaw

This is a really spacious, modern house with 5 large bedrooms each with an ensuite bathroom. Normally when we rent beach houses we have several people sharing a bathroom so this was really appreciated. The kitchen has everything needed for cooking and dining and also has an icemaker and minibar / coffee area that was a nice addition. The house is located on a quiet street just steps from the beach. It even has an elevator that was useful for moving in all of our supplies. The house is pet friendly, but there are hardwood floors throughout the house so you would never know pets are staying there. Our small dog loved the place and the daily walks on the beach. Edisto Beach itself is really a hidden gem. We have stayed there several times and always enjoy the laid back beach vibes from an older time. There is plenty to do in the area and a variety of restaurants to choose from, but you will not find crowds or hotels or noisy people. Walking on the beach mid morning we might run across 15 people on the beach over a 1 mile walk. We have also stayed at Hilton Head, Tybee island, Seabrook, the Outer Banks and many other beaches and Edisto remains our favorite.

High school graduation celebration

We were celebrating our youngest child's high school graduation with our 4 grown children , their spouses and grandma. It was a perfect houae wirh lots of space for our large group. We loved the kitchen, the screened porch and appreciated the elevator. The only issue was the bedroom that shows 2 twin beds. It really should be changed to one twin. It is a glorified closet and has to share a bathroom with another bedroom. Not an issue except all the full baths are in bedrooms. Also it would be helpful if there were labels on the kitchen cupboards. The kitchen was so large we spent a lot of time looking for what we needed and then was not sure where to put things. Overall though we loved it. It ia a very comfortable home. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The close proximity to thw beach was wonderful. I will look to stay here again

Weekend with Friends

The house was comfortable & spacious for a long weekend at the beach for our group of 7 adults. Location across the street from beach access 9 made it a convenient, quick walk to “toes in the sand”. The eat-in kitchen and screened porch were our favorite spaces — both are spacious and comfortable for 7 or 8 adults. Nice to have an elevator to get all our things up & downstairs. 5 of the 6 bedrooms are spacious and have comfortable beds. The 6th bedroom should not be listed as a bedroom. It doesn’t have a window, so it may even be that according to building codes, it isn’t officially a bedroom. It’s the size of a walk-in closet. No ceiling fan & no closet in it. Other than that, the house was really nice & met our needs. The ice machine did not work, but Vacasa came out and tried to fix it (they were unsuccessful). They did supply us with bagged ice, though. Another reviewer or two mentioned disappointment with cleanliness of the home. I would, unfortunately, have to agree the house is not as clean as I would have liked. The floors throughout need a thorough mopping, and cabinets need to be wiped down to remove grease & stickiness. Kitchen window needs cleaning inside & out. Outside toilet was really nasty. It’s a lovely, spacious, comfortable home in a great location for beach lovers — it just needs a cleaning crew to do a thorough job every visit.

Perfect Vacation home on Edisto. Bedrooms were roomy and comfortable. The kitchen is Amazing and works great for large families, an extra refrigerator would be a plus. We loved the elevator, the screened porch and the large living area. Will definitely stay again.

Love this house!

Our family has stayed in this house several times now. We love the spaciousness of the home and the short walk to the beach. The screened in porch is a favorite spot for morning coffee and family time in the evening. We’ve made our reservations for next summer already!
