The Bark House is a newly constructed suite located above our detached garage in Old Strathcona and features the work of local artists and artisans. The suite offers a uniquely welcoming and relaxing space from which to explore Edmonton's river valley, summer festivals, or the many attractions of Whyte Avenue.

You will be walking distance from the Old Strathcona Farmer's Market and Theatre District, and centrally located for short commutes to the University of Alberta, Rogers Place and Ice District, Alberta Legislature, Kinsmen Sports Centre, and downtown.

Great access to running and cycling routes, golf courses, parks, ski trails, and natural areas.

Minutes away from hundreds of restaurants, shops, live music venues, and pubs, and just a few blocks from Edmonton's growing craft brewery district.

Fully equipped kitchen where you can turn your market fresh finds into your favourite meal, and a dishwasher to help with the cleanup.

In suite laundry and custom wardrobe are perfect for business travellers, athletes, or longer stays.

High performance Innotech windows flood the suite with natural light, while frosted windows and exterior blinds provide privacy.

All electric heating, including air source heat pump will keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

NOTES FOR GUESTS
This is a suite above a garage. You may hear the garage door open from time to time.

Street parking is available for guests with vehicles.

Pets are not permitted.

No smoking is permitted in the suite, including vape.

The exterior of our property is monitored for the safety and security of our family and approved guests/visitors. Only those guests registered in your booking or approved visitors are permitted to be on the property or in the suite.

Guests or visitors on or in any part of the property that are not registered in your booking or have not been approved by the property owner will result in immediate termination of the rental agreement and eviction with no refund.

The garage suite is not a suitable space for guests who intend to engage in any type of activity involving the sale or exchange of goods or services.

We enjoyed our stay at Bark House. Very attractive decor and design. Great neighborhood for people without a car and like to explore on foot. Nicely equipped kitchen and good storage. The heat pump had some issues with cooling, but I’m sure that will be fixed. Owners live next door and were very responsive to any questions or problems. A place to return to!

I have been renting the Bark house for friends when they visit because I don't have space in my own house and this is what they had to say - "Wow! What an incredible stay at the Bark House. Everything in this apartment was impeccable, and every detail considered. The space is great for remote working. Plus, being a few minutes from Whyte Ave, Mill Creek, and the river valley makes this spot a great option for getting the best of Edmonton."
