"I was in the Big Falls area looking for boreal-forest birds, and, with that in mind, this property is in an excellent location: less than a mile to County Rd. 13, nine miles to the Toumey-Williams Forest Rd., and 15 miles to Pine Island Forest Rd.Other pluses for this property include the following.(1) The property owner is very responsive - answers your texts quickly and is quite helpful.(2) Because the property has a full kitchen, you can prepare your own food; or you can bring premade food and cook it on the stovetop or heat it up in the oven or microwave. This is important, given that the dining options in Big Falls (pop. 200) are limited.(3) The bed, and so sleeping, is comfortable.(4) It's quiet - another factor favoring good sleep.(5) The property is clean.(6) The air conditioner does a fine job of keeping the property cool.(7) The toilet flushes powerfully."

Cozy 1950’s lake front cabin with beautiful sunsets!

"The cabin was exactly as expected, with an old-timey vibe. I only got to spend one day and it simply wasn’t enough. The water access is lovely! The lake has a nice sandy, shallow bottom, perfect for wading or floating.Nova, the resident puppy was a special treat that made my stay even more special. She’s a big sweetheart who greeted me upon arrival and each morning, and even came swimming with me!"

Bald Beaver Lodge A hunting, Fishing, 4-wheeling, Snowmobiling paradise!

"We loved our 3 nights at the Bald Beaver Lodge. Plenty of space and activities for our multigenerational family gathering of 2 grandparents, 4 adult children plus spouses, and 7 grandchildren under the age of 10. We rode 4 wheelers, watched movies, relaxed in the massage chairs, played endless games on the beautiful custom dining table, picked raspberries, pingpong, arcades, watched the most beautiful rainstorm on the wraparound porch, and prepared 3 meals a day in the well stocked kitchen. We even smoked a few roasts in the smoker, an unexpected bonus. We never saw another person on the trails—had the property and its surroundings all to ourselves. Incredible beauty and wildlife! The owner was absolutely responsive to every need, even mailing a left purse to our home. Highly recommend this hidden gem!"

Four season fun, classic LAKEFRONT cabin for families!

"We loved our stay at Lazy Pines Hideaway!! We have 3 young kids and the place was absolutely perfect for our family! Inside, there was comfy beds, a pack and play and high chair and lots of games for rainy days. Outside, the property had a large flat area which was great for outside games. We were able to catch some small sun fish off the dock. The water was very clean and clear. It was shallow for a ways out which was so nice for not having to stress out about young kids accidentally falling in or going to far. This cottage was very homey and we would love to come back if we were ever in the area again!"

"Steve is an excellent host and great to chat with. The cabin is fantastic, clean and well taken care of. The linens were provided along with many of the basic necessities including dishes, pots and pans, utensils, silverware and some spices for cooking. The views are wonderful, the lake is great and the sun sets are amazing. We enjoyed it so much this is a place we would stay at again in the future."

"Great property. Only a couple minor issues. The front door was hard to close and lock. Also more fans would be helpful for better airflow in the heat. Other than that it was a great stay. Look forward to possible future stays."

"We enjoyed our stay at this cabin! We especially loved how close the cabin was to the water—it made it easy to enjoy the lake throughout our stay. The swim raft was a great feature and provided hours of fun.The location was quiet, peaceful, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. Fishing right off the dock was excellent, and we caught plenty of fish. Having the fishing boat with the trolling motor included was a huge bonus and made getting out on the lake easy and enjoyable.The host was responsive and easy to communicate with, making the entire experience smooth from start to finish.Thank you for sharing your cabin with us.
