Great place for a group
It was a beautiful house with great views. We had plenty of space for our group. It was a quick drive up to the ski valley and the hot tub was a perfect way to end a great day of skiing.

After Christmas Ski Trip
We loved this property! Everything was very well maintained and well stocked. The layout is perfect for a family with teen/young adult children. We loved the pool table, steam shower and hot tub.

Beautiful Taos views
The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We didn’t cook while there (too many restaurants where we wanted to eat!), but the kitchen would have had everything we needed had we wanted to cook. Plenty of room for our 5 adult and 2 children group. Some of us loved using the hot tub and enjoying the beautiful New Mexico star lit sky at night! Both the home and the property were lovely and we’d definitely choose it again!

Wonderful Property
We loved our stay at Mountain View. The neighborhood is quiet and close to activities. The house was beautiful with plenty of room for everyone to relax. We especially enjoyed the lovely mountain view from the back patio and watching hummingbirds feed on the garden plants. The house was clean, and the caretaker was very responsive. There were plenty of linens, the kitchen was well stocked, and all appliances were in good working order. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Mountain View and will be back!

Lovely visit
My family and I had a great time in this beautiful house. The house is exactly as described. Everyone commented on the beds being very comfortable. The check-in process could have been a tad easier in that the check-in instructions, including key location, could have been provided to us rather than us having to call. It was only a minor inconvenience. Overall, it was a truly lovely visit.

Taos Stay
Our family consisting of 6 adults and two children had a wonderful time at this home. The home was as described with plenty of room for all of us. The neighborhood was quiet and serene and not too far from town. We will definitely stay here again.

Everything was fine. The dishwasher did not clean the dishes And coffee pot did not work. Those are the only problem. We very much enjoyed ourselves. Everything else worked and loved the space, pool table, hot tub, Thank you!

Great Home for a Group
This home was perfect for a friends ski trip to Toas. We live in Denver and have stayed at our fair share of mountain houses and this one had really unique, hand crafted design elements that we loved. The home was also perfect for entertaining, big dinners, watching football and playing games. All of the beds were comfortable as well. I would highly recommend staying here!

Birthday bash
We had 7 adults and a large dog in this property, and had a companion property for 4 more adults nearby. It was very nice, spacious, well maintained, great front and back yards for the dog, and spectacular views out of every window in the home. Great location close in but not too close, away from traffic and bright lights. We would highly recommend this home- great for us!

Should Have Read Reviews
We booked this property primarily for the gourmet kitchen. We were informed day of arrival that the fridge was out of service. Looking at past reviews it has been out of commission for 7+ months. The stand-in fridge requires a journey through the house and into the garage to access. Definitely not a convenient detour. And definitely not acceptable to not be informed well in advance. The fridge was not the only amenity that did not work as advertised. Neither jets in the tubs work - another long-term unaddressed issue according to past reviews. The cleanliness left much to be desired. We found used masks in two of the rooms, a pair of glasses in another, and a crumpled sock in yet another. Both bathtubs had to be wiped down before use due to excessive hair left behind. The glass doors to the back patio and pool room had visible handprints when we arrived. The grass was not mowed and was higher than the bellies of our 15-pound malti-poos. Important rules (like the fact we needed a crate for our dogs when we left the house) weren’t disclosed until after we arrived and happened to read it in the guest book. Communication with the caretaker left a lot to be desired. The brief, clipped texts did not convey much hospitality. Instead we felt like we were an inconvenience and minimal communication was preferred - including the morning we had to navigate a power outage. Like I said - I should have read past reviews. Everything I’ve mentioned (with the exception of the uncut grass) has been brought up before. Which is unfortunate, because the house itself is hands-down a 5-star home. Absolutely stunning. If/when the other aspects of the experience get addressed, it would be a very desirable stay.

Beautiful property
It is a beautiful house as advertised. However, the refrigerator in the kitchen was not working. I specifically asked if it would be operational before I booked the house and was told a new refrigerator would be delivered months in advance. It was not and I wasn’t notified. We had to use an old refrigerator in the garage. This was inconvenient and for a house at this price unacceptable.

Dirty - Indoor Fridge is broken
Pros: place is authentic, great views, and large. Cons: I contact the caretaker on the morning of arrival as requested and she said the “indoor fridge is on the fritz”, but in all actuality it is not working at all. I contacted management they said, “ It is a 42" wide unit which needed to be special ordered. The deliver time is up to 6 weeks which your dates do not fall into.” So garage fridge hall to the kitchen all stay…boo. Disappointed in management for not listing issue on that on listing, since they knew the fridge will be out of use for all renters for over a month. Next, the house was really dirty, hair on the shower walls, dirt on the floor, cooked bacon left in the oven from who knows when. We were unable to use the fireplaces, which is listed as an amenity. There is a note requesting to not use, not sure if it is broken or just saving propane/gas/electricity. Sad as after skiing you want to relax by the fire looking out over the mountains. Hot tub fits 4 adults comfortably, small for the large house. Management was notified of all issues and they made no attempt to make it right. I would confirm fridge and fireplace are back up and running before booking.

Incredible place broken fridge
This stay was overall pretty great. The house is plenty big. 12 people fit perfectly and were not cramped at all. It has a gorgeous view in a quiet neighborhood. The caretaker was a little short responding and didn’t provide much detail, but was helpful with returning the key at the end of our stay. The refrigerator in the kitchen was broken and did not keep temperature. Thankfully there was another refrigerator in the garage that worked. It is not listed anywhere on the VRBO site or contract, but if you read the care book at the house it says you may not use the garage to park in. Also I recommend reading through the care book before you check out as there are a lot of instructions as to how the place must be left. Overall a great stay, but with the refrigerator worked.

Beautiful views, beautiful home, quality all around! House was better then pictures show! Felt like home away from home! Quality furnishings, soft towels (unlike most with hard white hotel towels), clean bedding, enough room for ALL, loaded kitchen (perfect for our Thanksgiving away cooking), COZY beds, and allowed our fur baby! House manager checked in on us and was very friendly/ kind. Again, those views! Quality at a fair rate! We for sure will return!

Beautiful House with great views!
We stayed here very short notice after a house we had rented cancelled literally the day we were suppose to check in and had already traveled 10 hours towards New Mexico. Needless to say once we found this house and worked with the management company and caretaker we could not have been happier. This house is amazing, has everything you need in the kitchen, and has a beautiful back yard that looks out towards the mountains. If your wanting to stay near Taos I would highly recommend this place. Great location and a nice neighborhood that allows you to get out and stretch you legs for a quiet walk with beautiful New Mexico scenery.

Pre-wedding family reunion at Mountain View
Our nephew had his wedding in Taos and we arrived 2 days early to celebrate our oldest grandson's 9th birthday the day before the wedding. Our daughter and her family of 7 and our son and my wife & I all stayed at the beautiful Mountain View home. We hosted the birthday party/ dinner for 17 family members who had arrived for the wedding. This kitchen had everything we needed, adults & kids enjoyed playing billiards and hanging out in the beautifully landscaped backyard and covered patio. The spaciousness of the home and the great location between Taos & Taos Ski Valley is ideal. Everything about our stay was great!

Nice house, but needs some improvements
Very nice house and neighborhood. It was not the best house we've rented over the years. On the plus, very pretty house outside of town. Very easy access to town and what ever activities you choose. The weather in Taos can't be beat. Very cool during the summer. There are some issues that need to be addressed. Several maintenance items while we were there. Disposal broke, hot tub controls shorting out, a couple of breakers had to be reset, master bath jacuzzi didn't work, pantry had an odd smell, backyard irrigation kept flooding out parts of the backyard. Reserving the house was odd. I had to keep emailing them to charge my card as the due dates came up. they do the booking outside of VRBO once you start, so that caused some communication issues. They do get back with you very quickly, but you do have to reach out to them. Overall, I give it 3 out of 5

Perfect Family Home
Every year our family makes the trip to Taos. This year we had extended family with us too. The house had plenty of rooms and space for everyone. We loved having the separate bathrooms for each room/guest. The dining room was perfect for the big meals. It was nice to have the backyard with the table to drink our coffee in the mornings. Loved walking the neighborhood. Very little traffic. Kitchen had all we needed too as with COVID we spent every meal in the house. Absolutely would stay here again. Great location, easy travel to town or the mountain.

We had 8 family members come together for a pre-Christmas celebration and had a wonderful time! The house is very open and roomy. The bedrooms were great and the beds were comfortable. The bedroom with one queen bed is pretty small, but works fine for just sleeping. The kitchen is beautiful and very functional. The kitchen banco area was an awesome place for game playing, and the dining area fit all 8 of us comfortably. The view from the backyard is beautiful. The neighborhood is quiet with plenty of space between houses. The house was very clean, the pool room was fun, the hot tub was warm and we felt at home the entire time we were there!

Your Gas Grill is an infested mouse house!!!
Yes the electricity finally came back on in the middle of the night. However when I went to use the gas grill last evening to cook some nice fillets we brought, I found it to be quite disgusting. There was probably a half inch of carbon waste on the grill and the whole thing was inhabited by mice— complete with a lot of mouse poop. This unit has not be cleaned for a long time, if ever. With the presence of the Hantavirus in Taos county, I would recommend the owners just dispose of it! I have included a few photos of the little creatures and grill for your viewing. Quite and peaceful.
Beautiful home just outside of Taos. Enjoyed the quite of the neighborhood. Loved the lay out of the home, we were there with siblings and parents and it gave us all our own space. Only complaint would be that there was one shower and a toilet that were not thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival. There was all a broken back door lock that needed attention. But overall we were very happy with the property.
