"This is our third visit in less than 2 years and we will certainly be back again and again. Every time we stay we discover a new way to relax. The air and the trees are the best antidote for the stresses of everyday. "

"The cabin accommodated our extended family of 16 very well for Thanksgiving. Everybody liked the house. We found the layout excellent for the different groups in our family, with common spaces large enough for everyone to be together and secluded spaces for occasional needed quiet. The game room was good (even if the pool table and ping pong tables were beat up). Several enjoyed the hot tub. Others enjoyed exploring the surrounding mountains. Inconveniences were 1) internet was not strong at all and most had trouble connecting. 2)None of the TV remotes worked. We could connect to the Dish, but could not stream. With the weak internet, we probably could not have streamed anyway. 3)The oven would not heat above 350 degrees. It took an extra hour to bake our Thanksgiving casseroles. 4)The entry lock battery was almost dead when we arrived and we almost didn't get in. We did change the battery. 5)The property manager did not respond to my call and text during the week before we arrived when I had some questions."

"While the property had more than enough space. Several key amenities were inoperable (hot tub, grill, main refrigerator). This home has the potential to be wonderful, however it does need some considerable maintenance and attention. I won't go into detail about all of the issues we encountered, but would strongly suggest double checking with the rental company prior to securing your stay. "

"This was a great place for living the pioneer lifestyle and learning firsthand the challenges, realities, and benefits of slowing down to non-electric and non-refrigeration times. The facility was as advertised and the host Walton was very helpful but not intrusive. If you are interested in helping around the farm, be sure to ask. There's always plenty to do. Great do-it-yourself experience."
