About this property

Yadkin Valley has the same viticulture stamp as NAPA. Canoes and Kayaks!!

  • 2000 sq ft cottage. All bedding is new, kitchenette equipped to provide for 6 people. 2 sitting areas, family room with ROKU and wireless internet. Walking distance to downtown wineries and Reeves Theater opens in Sept 2016 with food and music venues. 46 wineries in the 4 county area some with lovely restaurants. Stone Mountain, MERLEFEST close by. Canoeing and kayaking close by. Foothills!!! NC
    Apparently , we do not show up on google maps. The property is right past the high school . Count 3 houses and turn right on Azalea circle. The address is 105 Azalea . We always try to be available to meet our guests and tour the cottage . Just text us at 336-416-9030 when you are about 15 minutes out. We look forward to meeting you.

Easy walk to downtown and hiking trail. Hosts were very responsive when needed. Lots of wineries and beautiful beer garden. Also some very good restaurants. Countryside around Elkin is beautiful. Omegia and Jeff are very friendly hosts and care about their guests.

Elkin and Winery visit

Our hosts Omegia and Jeff were wonderful. They Showed us around the property upon our arrival. Made suggestions for dinner spots. Very cute home. We had everything we needed. Omegia even brought scones, bagels and a bottle of wine to welcome us to their home. We will come back.

Quaint getaway

My husband and I booked this quaint Yadkin Valley home for the weekend of the Wine Festival. Our hosts were gracious and communitive. We were thrilled to find delicious goodies upon our arrival. The location of the home is perfect to explore and support local shopping and dining in downtown Elkin. The home was clean and provided us everything that we needed for a comfortable weekend stay. Thank you to the hosts for allowing us to enjoy our weekend away.

Quaint spot in the middle of town

Very nice property, nice to have 2 separate bed/bath for 2 couples. Nice big common spaces with small kitchen and small bathroom upstairs. Wouldn’t plan to do large meals in the kitchen but perfect for breakfast prep. The owners are AMAZING and very responsive. Couldn’t ask for more. We VERY much enjoyed the central location. It was a lovely weekend with friends.

Nice Hidden Gem

We loved our stay in Elkin. Our hosts were very welcoming and surprised us with some goodies! The location is hidden from street view and very safe. We brought our parrots with us, and they loved the setting (looking out a window at birds/squirrels from their carry cages during the day). We enjoyed visiting local wineries and eating at many fine restaurants in the area. The place was spacious and clean. We hope to be back in the future.

Would recommend to anyone. Host went out of their way . Lots of surprises. pastries, cheese, and wine waiting for us when we got there. Bags were very very comfortable. Charming Spacious Warm Cottage Home

We had come to Elkin to go to a festival in Union Grove. I also took advantage of the wineries near-by. Jeff and Omegia had the cottage opened up when I arrived and the place was very inviting. They is a mix of beautiful antiques and comfortable furniture. Jeff gave me the tour once I arrived. It really is set-up in the style of bed and breakfast. The kitchen was fully equipped with artistic dining wear and all amenities. They communicated all the fun things to do in the downtown area which is so convienent to their home. They also had all the modern needs covered as well -- with good high speed internet. The queen bed was very comfortable. You do feel like a guest in their home. I'll look forward to renting and visiting again.

Wandering Winos Exploring Yadkin

Three fairly sophisticated winos came to Yadkin Valley in search of great wine and food. We found both. And the help and recommendations we received from this truly awesome host was essential in not only finding world class wine, but sleeping world class wine in a restful comfortable home afterwards. We enjoyed the fire pit in the evening after a full day of tastings and our beds were like clouds, clean fluffy sheets and blankets. The house is small, quaint and mostly comfortable--some odd moments with stairs and showers that reminded us of old Europe. Fresh eclairs for breakfast w/coffee. Nice thick absorbent towels. Just a lot of attention to detail. Truly very comfortable, walking distance into downtown Elkin where we grazed our way through dining and breakfast options. It was perfect and easy. Thank you!!!

Good location

Good location for downtown Elkin and wineries. Host was great with communication including giving us their Roku PIN number so we could download a sports app to watch a game. We were treated with eclairs and a bottle of red wine. (Nice touch!) The host also had bagels and cream cheese, crackers and string cheese and microwave popcorn available for us. Expect an old house with old furniture and creaky floors. The negative for us was that both the bed and pillows were uncomfortable which made for restless sleep. Comfortable beds make it or break it for me. Our friends said the same thing for the bed upstairs. We highly recommend entertaining the idea of replacing them with new mattresses and new pillows. Also, the shower downstairs was not tall enough for my 6’2” husband. It was awkward.

We love our weekend stay in the dollhouse for a wedding event. It was clean, cozy and we were able to bring our Maltese.The owner helped us with a few restaurants and left us a welcome bottle of wine.We highly recommend this VRBO in the quaint little town of Elkin, NC.

Great stay! The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Beds were comfortable, amenties as described. The cottage is located in close proximity to the owners house and I felt very safe the entire time. I would certainly stay at The Dollhouse again!
