Rustic River Cabin, trout fishing, dog loving, beach area on secluded 8.5 acres!

Stix and Stones Hilltop Cabin is a very private log cabin nestled in the woods on a charming 8.5 acre large, secluded lot.

This rustic little slice of heaven is perched on a beautifully landscaped hilltop overlooking its grassy valley.  Enjoy chilling out, swimming, fishing, or just listen to the rushing water of Stover Creek that runs through the property.

Savor utmost privacy all year long with no neighbors in view. Relieve the stress of life further by watching local wildlife watching by. Relish the best nature has to offer from the veranda from one of the rocking chairs, or dine on the open sided furnished porch with gas grill. Prefer a charcoal grill? There is one located just off the deck.
When it gets cold outside, relax in a rocking chair in front of a real wood burning stove. Firewood is provided.

If you have dogs, please click on the {guest >} and add the pet fee. We welcome and love dogs, have one ourselves, they are family. They are allowed to run free. There is also a 1/4 acre fenced area right at the cabin.

There are 2 bolder fire pits for eating on the grounds areas, covered parking area for recreation vehicles, and even an area for horse trailers. Three full bedrooms provide sleeping for up to six adults. Two full baths, washer and dryer are offered for guest laundry. The kitchen is well equipped including refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, electric stove and oven. There is a Smart TV, Prime Video, DVD player, DSL, and WIFI, the cabin has central heat and air.

Our little slice of paradise is located in the Blue Ridge Wildlife Management Area of the Chattahoochee National Forrest, only an hour and a half from Atlanta. The surrounding area beckons with fun and adventure all year long. The Benton MacKaye and Appalachian Trail heads are about 12 miles away on Springer Mt. Aska and other trails lead to beautiful waterfalls, swinging bridges and fabulous mountain views. Infinite fishing opportunities await you at stocked and natural streams. Kayaking and tubing are offered on the close by Cartecay and Toccoa rivers, they also provide inexpensive shuttles and take you back to your car.  More challenging whitewater rafting is close by. Enjoy biking? Get your mountain bikes ready and explore the trails or spend a day horse back riding.

The quaint little town of Ellijay is about 15 miles away. Downtown Ellijay offers an abundance of antique shops, art galleries, boutiques and fabulous restaurants. Streets buzz in October during the annual Apple Festival, a guests favorite! Most orchards are open year round and offer tours. Hayrides, putt-putt golf and petting zoos are most treasured by our younger guests. Special occasion around the corner? Summit Wedding Farm is just minutes away. The opportunities are endless!

The historic city of Blue Ridge is about 25 miles away from the cabin. There you can board an old fashioned train for an excursion along the Toccoa River. Blue Ridge is famous for its shopping, bars and restaurants. Or simply drive up the winding roads of Northwest GA - it is breathtaking! Everywhere you go you will be greeted by Southern hospitality and charm, many of the locals have a few stories to tell.

We are excited to welcoming you soon at our little slice of heaven and share what we love most. Stix and Stones Hilltop Cabin is quite special and unique. Visit us soon and experience it yourself!

Your hosts, Andrew and Suzanne.

Peaceful Presence!
Plenty of rooms to have privacy as a bigger family, but it was perfect for the two of us and Chloe our service dog. It is a ways in the woods and I would recommend 4 wheel drive if you can. The front porch was our favorite watching birds and squirrels while Chloe played in the secure fenced yard that leads to the side porch. The kitchen is appointed with everything you will need. I did take our Keurig since that is our favorite. The description and pictures are very accurate but sure can’t convey the peaceful feeling you will have staying at this perfect cabin! We will be back!

A week secluded in Paradise!
It’s incredibly hard to come up with the words to express just how much we enjoyed our stay. This place was the most peaceful, private, relaxing, mountain oasis. Some of our favorite times were sitting by the creek, strolling through the paths, watching our little dog play in the creek and run like she has never ran before. We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit with our friends, eating breakfast on the patio table downstairs, and listening to the sounds of nature while relaxing on the front porch rocking chairs. We loved how the home had all of the extras and how much thought and detail were put into everything. The decorations were so beautiful and we loved how warm and inviting the home was. We were so sad to leave, but we are already planning a return stay. We have stayed in a lot of places over our 27 years together and this one is our favorite! ❤️ Sean & Rhonda Thomas and Roxie(our fur baby)

Peace and quiet
Not sure where to begin this property is absolutely beautiful. The inside of the cabin is decorated with a lot of antiques and is a feeling of very homey. It was super clean. The king bed is wonderful - never had such a great night sleep. The outside of this property is awesome. My 10 lb little girl was in dog heaven, she was exploring and so happy running around. The creek is so serene one of my favorite places on the property to just take in the calmness and tranquility. Took a lot of walks during our stay and enjoyed just listening to nature on the porch. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. We will definitely be back.

Everyone loved it
We love Ellijay, but haven't visited as a family, or with our dogs, so this was the perfect place. The house had everything we needed, the fenced yard was perfect for the dogs, our youngest was grateful for all the games, and I can't even tell you how much we enjoyed we creek area. It was beautiful and just what we needed for a relaxing but fun Spring Break.

Very secluded cabin near Ellijay GA
Lovely cabin to bring your four legged family members. They loved the dog run and the creek. Absolutely no cell service which was fine for us. WiFI bandwidth was spotty which again was fine for us. We would highly recommend this property.
