Great Vacation
We enjoyed our stay so much we didn’t want to leave. The house and property were exactly like the photos. We spent most of our time on the back porch with ample seating and a great fireplace. The fire pit was conveniently located. The hot tub was set at the right temperature. The master bathroom was awesome with a great shower and a spa tub. I have nothing negative to say as our vacation was near perfect, just not long enough.

We had a good weekend - the cabin was clean and we stayed in and relaxed. We were a little disappointed about the house next to us was under construction and also the close proximity to all the cabins- we were under the impression it was secluded- our fault for not asking. WiFi is great and was comfortable- thank you for allowing us time in your cabin-

Enjoyable property in the mountains
We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at yogis hideaway! The cabin was beautiful and clean, and met all of our needs. Beyond the cabin itself, the tennis courts brought us a lot of fun and laughter. And the beautiful pond just beyond the tennis courts provided hours of activity. The first day, my children (15, 9, 6) caught 16 fish between them. They were so happy and excited. Definitely a highlight for all of us. We brought our own fishing poles and worms, which is a good idea if anybody plans to fish. We also brought our own tennis rackets and tennis balls, though there were plenty of rackets and balls provided. Also, our two dogs thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful land to run and play. Our stay gave us an opportunity for wonderful memories and family bonding.

Nice place
This rental was aged but still very nice and clean. The property mgmt group was excellent with communication and a speedy resolution in solving maintenance issues. The surrounding houses and road to the property were unappealing and at times the road was treacherous with potholes.

Unfortunately, not much we can do about what you have to pass to get to the property and even though the roads are county maintained, with all the rain we have had, it can take a toll on them. Fun Times
My family enjoyed our stay at this home. It was my husband and I, our 9 year old, our two 17 year olds, and our 20 year old. Our nine year old loved being able to go out in the morning to fish on the little pond while the big kids were still sleeping. We spent our days hiking and out on Lake Hiawassee. When we got home in the evenings we enjoyed the court- playing basketball and volleyball/tennis as a family. Once it got dark we loved having the hot tub and pool table. We would definitely revisit and stay at this house - it had everything we needed.

Overall recommend but not for the price
Pros: - Great location (on the road to Lake Conasauga and beautiful off roading trails, hiking, etc, 25 mins to Dowtown Ellijay) - Cabin fit needs: clean, cozy, spacious, everything worked. - Private, rural forested surroundings (and tennis courts) Cons: - Outside patio is not as nice, clean, or updated as the photos listed. Some of the lights are out. - Hot tub has some minor issues (light doesn’t work, jets are low powered) - Not treated for insects, and especially carpenter bees. There were 20-30 flying around the roof constantly above the patio. Made an unpleasant outdoor experience.

Hi Alexis, thanks for taking the time to submit a review. We are glad to hear Yogi's met your needs and that you found it clean, spacious and everything in working order! We apologize that the outdoor area was not quite as up to par, we have addressed your issues as well as freshening up some paint on furniture and replacing the rug. As far as carpenter bees, this is the season. We actually do have a pest control contract which includes carpenter bee treatment. This time of year (April-May) is mating season and it is hard to eradicate them entirely. We certainly apologize that they made for an unpleasant outdoor experience and hope you can visit us again when they are not so active.

BE PREPARED FOR POWER OUTAGE
I was ok with the property until they had a power outage a day before our scheduled check-out. We were unsure when power would get restored and needed energy for a breathing machine, so we cut the visit short and left by 9 am. I called and explained this to the property and asked if I could get a day refund or credit for a day for the next visit. The property never responded or accommodated us for the inconvenience.

Hi Laverne, We are sorry about the power outage. Unfortunately, we don't give refunds or credits for power outages however, most outages are very short, typically restored within a couple of hours as this one was.

This cost was around $500 a night for us .. .. too much $$$$ for what we got… there is no “ view” per se like a mountain top view , hot tub needed to be drained ( extremely hazy looking water )

Mountain biker & hiker dream
The location is everything! We are avid mountain bikers and hikers. Being right off a forest service road and biking distance to trails was so great! Nothing can beat the convenience of this location. Coming back to the house from a long day of biking or hiking to a hot tub wasn’t bad either! We plan on being repeat vacationers to Yogi.

Good family trip

Definitely NOT relaxing or private !
Advertised as Private with tennis court Only to find 10 other people with a dog that we’re renting the house behind us using the court and being very loud. Owner misrepresented. He owns both properties and probably promised both listings access to the tennis court without the individual renters knowing. Scam Alert ! Dirty and mice droppings in the pans we were to cook with.

The only call we received from you was right after you arrived and you were very upset about there not being salt and pepper at the cabin. The property manager did not misrepresent the property, the tennis court is exclusive to Yogi's. Your assumption that the owner "probably" promised the tennis court to both listings is incorrect. Yogi's is not advertised as "Private with Tennis Court", it is advertied as having a "Private Tennis Court". We reached out to the guests at the other property and they confirmed their kids did go up there, unaware they weren't supposed to and were there for less than 30 minutes when it was brought to their attention that they were not supposed to use the court. They were very apologetic. We do apologize that you were inconvenienced by this.

Yogis retreat
Very enjoyable 4 day weekend with the family. The cabin was super clean and offered up plenty of entertainment for everyone. This was our 3rd trip to Georgia and by far my most favorite place to stay yet.

Great Place
We had a great time at Yogi's Hideaway. The tennis court was a plus. We played tennis and pickle ball every day. The area is beautiful. Hiking trails right outside your door. Loved it!

My family really enjoyed this property, particularly the outdoor porch, hot tub, tennis court, and fish pond. Our first three days were perfect. Unfortunately, a storm knocked out all power for our last two days. Cell reception is nonexistent, so without wifi we weren't able to call for help. Because the house is on a well, no power means no water, and trees in the road blocked us from even being able to leave. We would have been in a rough spot if neighbors hadn't donated some drinking water for us and our young children. Having gas at the cabin did mean we were still able to cook food on the stove and grill. Power and water were still not on when we checked out, so we weren't able to clean dishes as requested. I can tell that the owners have really been listening to suggestions, as they had plenty of TP and a nice lantern that was really useful for us. I'd also suggest some emergency gallons of water, just in case, as well as some more emergency candles. They also need to update instructions for the gas fireplace. The on switch is on the small black box inside the fireplace, on the right.

We really enjoyed our stay! The property was clean. The little creek behind the property is cute and my boys actually caught a couple of trout out of there. I would call the property manager ahead of time next time to make sure they have checked the grill and indoor fire place.

It was a good stay in the mountains. Kids enjoyed the tennis court, and land around the property. we enjoyed that the hot tub was in the same area as the outdoor fire pit. Kitchen was very open and fully stocked with everything needed- couldn’t find measuring cup or spoons though. Had issues with the indoor fire pit, never did get it to light even after management came out to look at it- guess gas was low and company came out following day to fill it. Would have been nice had this all been done prior to arrival, glad temps weren’t were in the 50s and no lower or we’d be in trouble.

A lovely retreat
We truly loved this home and property. It's very secluded and the area around it (pond, winding creek) is magical. We played tennis and pool, fished, hot tubbed and made s'mores daily. The home is well equipped, well laid out and the beds are really comfortable. The outdoor patio is incredible (furniture not super comfortable, but not offensive, either). We were concerned when we got the address that it would be too far from civilization but rather we enjoyed the pastoral and scenic18-20 minute drive to quaint downtown Ellijay and the extra 5 minutes to East Ellijay (Ingles, Walmart, etc) wasn't bad. While in the area, ensure you make the intense drive (40 minutes by gravel road just beside the house) to Conosauga Lake-there's a look-out point about 12 minutes in that's to die for. You can swim in the lake off the dock and there's a trail to walk around the whole lake. If you have kids, Lilly Pad Village is a lot of fun and there are a few pull off points in Aksa on the way back where you can sit on the rocks of the river. It's so pretty! We also enjoyed the 1/2 mile hike to Falls Branch Falls, and had a BBQ lunch after at the Pink Pig. Delicious. Some helpful hints: Bring toilet paper and paper towels. We were there 5 nights and weren't expecting to have to restock (you get 1 paper towel roll and 1 TP roll in each bathroom) and given the state of paper products, we were lucky to get a small off-brand pack at Walmart! If you want to fish in the pond, bring rods. They had a ton of tennis rackets but bring your own balls. We brought our own basketball and are glad we did, because the ones they had were pretty flat (or bring a pump). The house is truly a gem and there's so much to do in this area if you're active or you can just chill. We will definitely be back!

A true Social Distancing Getaway
This place has lots to do, but also perfect to relax. The outside living area was my favorite place to be! The hot tub was great for sore muscles after tennis in the evening. The porch stayed cool even when it was super hot outside. We loved being able to bring our dogs and having the deck closed with gates made it easy to relax while they wandered the deck. We were also able to play fetch with them on the fenced tennis court, so nice since they probably would have chased the squirrels if we let them off the leash on the property. The setting is very peaceful and the house is nice and comfy and well equipped with everything we needed. The beds downstairs are SUPER comfortable! I would agree with other guests who said the water pressure in the house is low. We would certainly consider a return visit to this beautiful place.

This place is epic! It's really nice and secluded which is what we like. We played Tennis everyday. Only 20 minutes to civilization. We stocked up on food and beverage and made some day trips to go Horseback Riding and a Day Spa. We also had to go to The BubbaQ. #love that food. We played Tennis everyday.We would love to come back. It's as comfortable as it looks! We needed some shock for the hot tub and the rental company ran it right out.

Perfect spot for active family
We had so much fun during our stay at Yogi's Hideaway. The cabin is very comfortable and has all you need. It's secluded enough to feel away but nearby Ellijay is close enough to experience great restaurants and local attractions. The soups at Cantaberry were fantastic and the coffee at Ellijay coffeehouse was great also. The tennis court/basketball goal was the highlight as we played everyday. The small pond also gave a few minutes of fun each day trying to snag some small bream. We had so much fun playing tennis that we never even tried the hiking trails which are close by. We will definitely be back in the future. Thanks so much for a great time.

Perfect Spring Break
We stayed at Yogis for spring break with our kids ages 16 & 21, and their friends, 15 & 25 and our two fur girls, a sheltie and a German Shepherd. We chose this cabin specifically because of the ample yard space so the dogs can play off leash. Some reviews mention that the cabin needs updating. We’ve been renting luxury cabins for years typically in the 350-450 per night range so although Yogis may need a little updating, it was impeccably clean upon arrival and we actually enjoyed the older decor and found it to be super COZY! Being in this cabin forced all of us (and all the adult-ish kids) to spend more time outside which is exactly what we needed. The weather was perfect. Kids and dogs loved the yard, basketball/tennis court and the pond and creek area was amazing (“enchanted” was the word my daughter used, which is very fitting) The cabin is easy to get to, about 25 mins to downtown Ellijay (access to grocery/gas). There is an incredible waterfall just up the mountain and a beautiful lake further up. The porch has two locking gates for those with young kids or who want to contain dogs while in the hot tub. We thoroughly enjoyed this years trip and did everything on our vacation to-do list. This cabin was a perfect spot for family time. Only things to note was water pressure is quite low in the showers (temperature was fine) and we noticed ants getting into the kitchen counters but didn’t seem to be attracted to the food. We bought some ant traps and sprayed some raid. Perhaps they were trying to escape the cool weather? Otherwise everything was amazing!!

Beautiful place. Everything you need and more for a relaxing vacation. Even if just for the weekend. Nice and quiet. Hot tub was wonderful. Kitchen well stocked. Beds super comfortable. We went to hike the trail but couldn't cross the creek without getting wet. So we just walked the roads. The guys (who all do construction and remodeling) did point out some maintenance that needs done.

Overall, we were very happy with Yogi's Hideaway. Some of the decor is a bit dated and it could use a deep cleaning (mainly dusting) but overall it was good. Pros: quiet, bed comfortable, well stocked, trails nearby. Easy EV charging. Pets are free and welcomed by the managing company. Agency good to work with. Cons: windows need cleaned, decor was dusty, cabin in general need of some repairs (faucets, rotted wood, cracked tennis court to name a few) For EV (electric vehicle) owners, there is an extension cord outlet in the car port area that was a nice surprise as we were prepared with long extension cords just in case. In our Tesla we were getting 5 mi/hr worth of range plenty for an overnight charge for the next days adventures in the area.

Beautiful home!!
We had a wonderful time here! The home has everything you need and then some. We've been coming to Georgia for years for a fall vacation and this is our favorite. Had fun playing tennis and basketball then relaxing in the jacuzzi with a fire on the patio. Loved that we could hike right from the house too. It was perfect!

We loved our mountain cabin getaway!
Easy to get to, and not far from Ellijay, this mountain cabin has all the right stuff to make for a fun, family getaway. It's got all the standard things we love, like a fireplace and hot tub, beautiful cabin décor, nice grill, and plenty of room, but on top of that (and what makes it really unique) is the tennis court, basketball hoop, fish pond, and pool table. I think we had the TV on for a total of 15 minutes, and that right there tells you we were having too much fun doing everything else! And it's pet-friendly. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat.
