Tastefully remodeled tranquil farmhouse oasis near Newport state park and DarkSky preserve. The home features 5 bedrooms, 2 baths, fireplace, full kitchen, living room, cable, indoor Hot Tub and all the comforts of home. Relax and unwind in this beautiful home while you enjoy the breathtaking view of the beautiful countryside and stars and northern lights in the night sky. Lounge on our comfy patio furniture or sit under the stars around the fire pit. Located on 40 acres with cut walking paths to enjoy,the ultimate seclusion and getaway you are looking for.

Home featured 5 bedrooms 2 kings, 2 queens, and bunk beds, 2 full baths, large living room with fire place, full kitchen, washer and dryer, screened in porch with patio furniture .

Located in a beautiful country side setting but only 5 min away from Ellison Bay where you can enjoy coffee at Kick Ash Coffee, farm to table meal at the Wickman house, Blue ear cafe and a drink at the Mink River Basin and 10 min from all the action in down town Sister Bay.

Enjoy our private 40 acres surrounding the house with cut trailor venture out to the near by state parks with biking trails, kayaking, paddle boarding, cross country skiing, fishing, hiking, snowmobiling and much more.

Great family getaway

We love staying In Ellison Bay or Gills Rock and this was a great place for our family. Close to Europe Lake and close to some great hiking. And the place was large enough for our gang.

Great way to ring in the New Year!

Brought our whole family. Plenty of room for 7 to spread out and be very comfortable. The 2 nearby beaches made for great walks for sunrise. Saw bald eagle, swans and bufflehead ducks.Great stay!

Lovely property. Knew there was a hot tub but didn’t not realize it was on the second floor. Everything was clean and lots of amenities. Great space and quiet escape for the holiday weekend.

Great getaway cabin!

We loved the house itself but the property it’s on is even better! The walking trails were really nice to have for the morning walks my wife and I like to take and the outdoors was great for looking at the sky. The hot tub was a really nice thing to have after going out and about seeing all of what door county had to offer. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone!

My sisters and i stayed here with some of our hubbies. It was perfect. The place is stunning and easily accommodated our group of eight. It had many little touches to make our stay special. . We loved taking morning walks around the large property and sitting around the fire pit at night. It was the perfect get away .

1st Annual Family Vacation

We were very happy to find a place where we could all stay. Needed 5 bedrooms for 8 people. The location was perfect. Within 30 minites of everything we wanted to do. We were able to eat, play cards and put a puzzle together around the large table.

A Cold Spring Break

We decided to find a cabin to relax in Door County during the offseason. This place was perfect. A lot of space in the house, large comfortable beds, clean facilities, and a large hot tub. We also enjoy the walking paths on the property. A little bummed we didn’t get a single clear night to see the star, this place is DARK at night. I’m sure the view of the sky is beautiful on a clear night.

North end relaxation

The house was roomy and very comfortable....esp. loved the pillows! We enjoyed having our own private walking path each morning. The prairies and woods were great. We’ve been coming to Door County for 40 yrs. but this was the furthest north on the peninsula that we have stayed. We loved the Ellison Bay/Gills Rock area. Northport State Park was amazing. We’ve never seen so many stars! Highly recommend if you want a nice relaxing vacation near good restaurants, awesome county and state parks, Charlies Smokhouse and a quaint downtown.

Northern Lights Farmhouse

We enjoyed a lovely stay at the farmhouse. The property was very clean and comfortable. It was secluded and private and just a short drive to the ferry to go to Washington Island. We enjoyed being out of the touristy areas. It was very cool staying somewhere where the sky is totally dark and you can see the stars without ambient light. We had an issue with water one day and Kate responded very quickly to get a plumber in to fix the problem. We did have an issue with earwigs on the first floor and an issue getting the shower on the first floor to cool down. All in all, it was a great place to stay.

Beautiful property! House was well maintained. Kitchen had everything we needed. Very comfortable beds and plenty of room to spread out and relax. The seclusion of being a short way out of town was worth the tradeoff. The highlight of our stay was seeing the AMAZING night sky from the outdoor deck. Bring your telescope!

Oh my, the Night Sky ❤️

As huge fans of Door County, we visit as often as possible and we’re always looking to discover a new gem, and this farmhouse was that gem. Spacious, clean, and comfortable inside and out, and had several area’s to hang out in from the kitchen, & family room, to the screened in porch and fire pit. Our preference is alway Northern Door properties, mostly for the serene and beauty of the area, and the location of this property didn’t disappoint. We made plans to visit the Dark Sky Park and as it turns out, there are no fences to the night sky, and we only needed to step outside... OMGsh, you should see it!!!! And the sunrise too!! Kate was easy to communicate with and responded immediately. She seemed to have an understanding to the needs of vacationers, ty.

The house is very cozy, and the land is beautiful. There are some nice trails cut to walk the property borders too! Kate is very quick to responding to any issues you may have. It has only been a few days since our trip, and we have already started planning another one!

Great house for all of the family

Great secluded getaway

Our family had a great time exploring the walking path on this beautiful & secluded 40 acre property. It was clean and close to nearby towns. Wish the hot tub would have been available. It was closed due to covid.
