Spacious Log Home near Yellowstone Park/Gardiner. Sleeps up to 12, deck and view

Situated on 20 private acres overlooking the Yellowstone River and Paradise Valley, this custom log home is the perfect Yellowstone National Park basecamp for couples and families alike. The A-frame design makes the living area spacious with high ceilings and large windows giving a bird's eye view of the Yellowstone River and southern Paradise Valley. The northern facing wrap around deck is a perfect place to grill, lounge, soak up the sun, and watch the sunlight fade over the river.

Anyone familiar with Paradise Valley will recognize that this property is in Tom Miner Basin, one of the most popular areas in the valley. Tom Miner Basin is home to herds of wildlife as they migrate in and out of Yellowstone National Park. Elk, deer, big horn sheep and antelope call Tom Miner home much of the year. From late fall to spring a herd of big horn sheep can be found sunning themselves in the driveway and the nearby grass land. Hummingbirds love the area as well, as the former owners faithfully filled their feeders, to watch them from the windows.

The upstairs hosts two main bedrooms, each with their own private full bathrooms and in-room spacious vanities. One room has one king and two XL twins. All three are brand new and selected for comfort. The XL twins can convert to a second king, should guests prefer. The other room has a new king bed and two regular twins.

The downstairs hosts two smaller bedrooms, each with a queen bed. Both bedrooms have in-room vanities and they share a full bathroom in the east wing with a door for complete privacy from the rest of the house.

The open concept kitchen is well stocked with basic spices and ample amounts of cookware, dinnerware and glassware. The kitchen island is a good place for breakfast or dinner prep. The dining room table seats 8 comfortably with views of the Yellowstone River, Paradise Valley, and lower Tom Miner Basin. The living room has a flat screen TV with comfy chairs and a couch. We also have a toy bin for kids, books, movies, and an electric piano.

If you need a spacious basecamp for your southwest vacation to Montana with Yellowstone National Park entrance 20 miles away, and the geographical border a few minutes up the gravel road from the house, this is the place for you.

**Please note our nightly base rate is for 8 guests. There is an additional charge of $25/person/night for groups of 9 to 12 guests. Infants (0-2 years old) are welcome without additional charge.**

Really enjoyed our family vacation in Emigrant, the cabin and the views were amazing

We loved our stay. The cabin grounds were great to explore and very quiet. The cabin itself had plenty of room for two families and we used it as our basecamp for exploring Yellowstone. Thanks for the hospitality!

A wonderful place to stay and just a short drive from Yellowstone National Park. The views from the veranda are beautiful and there are plenty of birds and wildlife to see in the area. The house is clean, comfortable and well equipped. The Grill restaurant at Sage Lodge (recommended by Laura and Vern) is excellent and definitely worth a visit

Multi-generational family stay while exploring Tetons, Yellowstone and surrounding area. Well appointed and lovely log cabin home. Comfortable surroundings, plenty of space to hang out together, sleep and bathrooms. Beautiful surroundings, greeted with snack basket and fresh eggs that was a wonderful surprise. Owners live down the hill on the river which was a great exploration. Friendly and offered welcome advice about surroundings re: Yellowstone and where to see grizzlies, etc. Location is central to what we wanted to do in area

Our stay at this property couldn’t have been better. Home was clean, well appointed and spacious for our group of seven. Views were wonderful, owners offered some great suggestions for things to do and the deck was great for both enjoying the sun in the daytime and stargazing at night. Highly recommend for larger groups!

Everything was perfect. Plenty of room for 8 grown adults, even room for more. Location was amazing. We saw more wildlife in the immediate area than we did in the park. Highly recommend driving up Tom Miner rd and also Ol Yellowstone Rd. Lots of wildlife in the morning.

The house was just as advertised. Well laid out for the 6 of us, and very clean. It was also well equipped as we cooked extensively, indoors and out, for our group. I wouldn't hesitate to return again in the future.

The place was awesome. Beautiful house with plenty of room for nine people or more. Everything you need to enjoy your stay. Only about 15 minutes away from Yellowstone entrance. You can see all types of wild life near by. So worth the stay. I will go back again

This was such a beautiful home in a prime location to Yellowstone. Our family had an amazing stay. Check-in was easy. Communication with the homeowner was prompt. Breathtaking views surrounding the property. There were lots of amenities offered to us within the home as well. Our family of 12 fit perfectly with room to spare.

The layout of this home is well laid out for a large group. It’s well stocked and furnished for comfort. VERY clean! It’s the perfect setting for a family reunion. There is a wonderful patio with lots of seating. Beautiful views and close to YNP. Owners are helpful and provided good tips such as stocking up on groceries on our way through Livingston. We enjoyed our time tremendously; just wish we could have stayed longer.

We stayed at the Emigrant house during the Yellowstone portion of our family's bucket list trip West. The house was exactly what we were looking for - rustic, off the beaten path and perfectly large enough to accommodate the 9 of us comfortably. We especially enjoyed the farm fresh eggs left for us by the owner. What a special touch! Highly recommend!

The house is a nice older log cabin with awesome views and close to Yellowstone Park. The owners were easy to communicate with and we had no issues with them or the cabin. It would be nice if the state would replace Tom Minor bridge. The extra travel on the gravel road due to the bridge being out gets a little old, but not their fault. Would stay here again.

We highly recommend staying here. The cabin was very clean and cozy. We loved the view of Paradise Valley, cooking on the grill and relaxing on the deck at night looking at the stars with a cool breeze. This rental provided bear spray, coolers, river towels, dish, dishwasher and laundry detergent, a great variety of spices and cooking utensils. We had plenty of towels for the week. We were welcomed with farm fresh eggs and some snacks. We enjoyed talking to Vern. He is a very kind person. Don’t hesitate to book your stay here. We would definitely come back!

This home was perfect for our family. Plenty of space for the 5 adults and 3 kids. We were able to observe grizzlies in the wild nearby (at a safe distance!) and my husband and son did some fishing. It was not far from Yellowstone’s north entrance. There is a long dirt road to get to the house since the bridge was washed out, but the drive is definitely worth it.

My family and I stayed in Verns cabin for a week & loved it! The bridge was out, making it a longer drive to Yellowstone, but honestly the Tom Miner road behind the house made up for it! We would all go “grizzly & moose hunting” every day and sometimes multiple times a day. We honestly seen more wildlife at the house & Tom Miner than we did in Yellowstone. Vern & his family was great with communication & came anytime we had problems with something. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to the area!

Our party of six enjoyed our four days at the Harmony Cabin. You are always apprehensive when booking on line but the description accurately described the cabin in depth. The kitchen was very well equipped and we enjoyed being able to cook several of our meals. The only disappointment was the outdoor grill. If anything needs replacing it is the grill. Great things happened from the deck. Watching the cow elk with their calves walk by in early morning and dusk was amazing. Watching the stars and picking out constellations after the sun was down will stick with us for a long long time. We enjoyed eating meals outside and looking at the amazing scenery surrounding us. The accommodations of the cabin were very sufficient and all supplies that were needed were well stocked. We appreciated all of the bathrooms and additional vanities in the bedroom. We all enjoyed the original artwork and the decor of the cabin. Thank you for a nice vacation and hope to return at another time. Bob, Constance, Vic, Jo, Vicky Jo and Zack.

Cabin was perfect for multiple families with each bedroom having it’s own sink/counter and upstairs loft had 2 separate sides w multiple beds and separate bathrooms. Great location on Tom Miner road for animal viewing and beautiful scenery. Owner was nearby and very helpful with things to do and helping us find good fishing. We enjoyed our stay!

Great “homebase” for Yellowstone family vacation. Great location, great access, and worth a day just hanging out at the property! Couldn’t have asked for a better set up for a multi family trip. Wow scenery!

The “cabin” was very welcoming. We had 3 families - 1 with a 5 year old, 1 with a 5 and 3 year old, and 6 adults. So many great toys for the boys, decor is very clean and modern. The owner provided amenities were wonderful. We loved the elk and sheep every morning and night. Homeowner provided fresh eggs on our arrival. It was very quiet and close to Yellowstone and Chico. Thank you from all 9 of us - we would love to come back

It was a great location to stay and you can see wildlife like bears & elk down the road about 15 minutes from the property if you don’t want to go into the park! Place was clean and private. Perfect for our family!

This beautiful log house has not been kept up. We found many things to be in need of cleaning or repair or just replacement. Soft furnishings may have been clean, but were dated. Kitchen drawers and cabinets were a hodgepodge of random, unorganized utensils including plastic ware, pen caps, dead pens and unusable pans. The living room carpet had stains, the deck could use another coat of paint and the small organ that does not work, removed. The general feeling throughout the house was of worn neglect.

This rustic cabin in the middle of beautiful scenery was perfect for our trip to visit the north end of Yellowstone National Park. We loved seeing the area and were thrilled to be able to see the abundance of wildlife just a short drive up the mountain from the cabin.

Our group of 3 couples spent 2 nights here. The home is well-equipped, comfortable, and has a fantastic view. It was an easy 20 minute ride to the north park entrance. We saw elk herds in the neighborhood, enjoyed Yellowstone Hotsprings, and a meal at the Antler Bar & Grill.
