"This hotel is rough around the edges and is showing its age. That would not be so bad, but the room was not clean. There was mold in the shower, drips and water marks on the bedside tables. The bed looked like someone had slept on it after it was made. When I brought it to management's attention, the manager expressed his dissatisfaction with the cleaner and the cleaner was defensive. "This cabin on Sibley Lake was a fantastic place for our summer get away! It comfortably accommodated my husband and I, along with our teenage daughter and her friend. The cabin is beautiful and very well maintained, inside and out. The only awkward thing about it is that the "rec room" area on the lowest level does not have an interior connection to the rest of the main cabin (you need to go outside and around to the main door to get to the rest of the spaces, including the bathrooms). So that limits the functionality of that space for sleeping, depending on the guests. But our teenagers weren't bothered by that and actually opted to sleep in the "bunkhouse" over the boat area. They loved it and it provided lots of space for everyone to relax and have their own spaces. The included pontoon is in great shape and provided lots of fun out on the lake every day. The lake itself is quiet and relaxed, but large enough for water sports and plenty of place to cruise around. We had a great time - thank you!"

"This lake home had very adequate supplies; kitchen was very useful in the large family room. There are many beds for a large group. The teen girls enjoyed the bunk beds. A bathroom on each floor was essential so welcome. We so enjoyed the included pontoon and were able to launch our boat to pull tubers. A campfire provided us with an enjoyable time having s'mores. O'Brien Lake was really a nice clear lake with sandy bottom. Thanks also to Greg for quick replies to questions we had. From Waukon, Iowa and Mpls. area."

They really thought of everything - fans, games, extra pillows/bedding for the hide-a-bed, chairs around the fire pit & even firewood. Could not have asked for a better location - right on the trails to go side by siding. Will definitely book this VRBO again!"
